Legalizing Marijuana

  1. Pot is definitely a gateway drug. -.-

  2. I agree with nick. You ethier stay smoking weed 24/7 and when you try to come off it your moody as hell and then if you decide to try and stop the habit you find that you will be swapping it for another addiction.

  3. @marija - Thanks for spelling that out!

    - airfive -

  4. I would like to see how this plays out for the states that legalized it. Somebody mentioned that it works in Holland and is a matter of educating the people. I agree. There are a lot of misconceptions about marijuana. Whether it is a gateway drug or not, I think depends on the person who is using it. Also, people can become addicted to pretty much anything, even habits others would consider healthy. I think there's one thing to remember here: everything in moderation.

  5. After having 3 kids who got high off marijuana at my high school crash and die because of the drug, I'm not in support of it... And you really don't think selling weed is going to fix the economy do you? It'll collect some taxes but no way were collecting 16 trillion in taxes on weed. If you believe that you were clearly on a hallucinogenic drug during your post. 

  6. Used to smoke it. Its overrated and very stupid. If you do it 2/3 times a year while your indoors then ok fine. But if your one of those people that smokes it every week and especially "to socialise" then your a fool.

It weakens your health, it dumbs you down and your body reaction to it is not one of the best.

Try Alcohol, 1-3 beers or 2-3 double vodkas will do the trick. Not saying their healthy but most human bodies dispose of it easier then marijuana.

[What i wrote is my opinion and what i have read. Please don't try troll my statement as i will ignore you]

  7. I smoke once a day. I've bee smoking since 8th grade.. I do it own my own for my own reasons. I relax and watch tv when I'm high. It's completely fine. I'm not any dumber I can take a pic of my transcript and for a "pot head" I have pretty good grades. As and Bs with only one C.

  8. Here's my transcript 

  9. Everybody acts like they know what they're talking about.  quit googlin shit.

Haven't tried it before. Then don't hate bunch of trolling assholes.

  10. Guys I don't agree with the gateway thing, Not a single smoker I know uses hard drugs and in fact most condemn it. Only way i see it being a gateway is because you are around dealers who have access to harder drugs, legalizing will bring smokers out of contact with these people.

You say you needed something stronger? You were self medicating instead of trying to make changes in your life and facing your problems, sounds like you're blaming a soft drug for your drug usage so you don't need to blame yourself.

Cannabis is a psychological addiction, withdrawals are very mild including sleep restlessness, mood swings and low appetite, Alcohol is alot more addictive and the effects of alcoholism are worse, if you can't give up cannabis im sorry but you have a weak state of mind and you most likely need help with other issues (stated at the general population, not singling anyone out with that comment).

Ps I have heard that holland after decriminalizing saw a slight increase in use at first but it mellowed out to a level consitent with other states in Europe, and it is less then the rate of Americas use. It also said that hard drug use is quite low due to the seperated market. Haven't done as much research on this though.

At that comment saying, they can't raise a spoon how can they raise a spliff? Do you know how cannabis helps them eat? It does cause pain relief but also works on the nausea, especially in cancer patients that stops them from eating normally.

  11. @meiz - You're acting like I was ADDICTED to marijuana. I smoked a lot of it and sold a lot of it, but THC doesn't cause a physical dependency. As far as using pot as a scapegoat for my problems, you're absolutely correct. I didn't want to deal with them and pot made me sleep. Take into account, though, that I was barely a teen. As I stated before, kids can't choose their environments, and drugs being the only thing I knew, I took that route. It started with pot - just reg, then dro, then kush. Daily, hourly, walking down the street. Eventually, I took my first hit of cocaine. Then swalled my first vicodin, then started snorting vic. Xanax, klonopin, valium, percocet. Then somebody told me adderall would make me happy. Then I tried meth. My first addiction was vicodin - 10 months got me 1 month in jail and 13 months in rehab. Adderrall was my second, and most recent, addiction - 8 months of my life were spent as an emotionless robotic, sorry excuse for a human. I've been drunk off my ass, higher than the twin towers, and "pretend" happy. Don't talk to me about addiction. I'm a walking pill.
On the cancer note - I've had family suffer through cancer. The last thing on any of their minds were smoking pot, whether for a fifteen minute relief from pain or not, because all they wanted was the family and to die. It varies, just like our opinions. Don't assume you know all about drugs and the affects they have if you haven't had the experience personally.

  12. I'll never smoke pot. Or cigaretters. Not a smoker.

I'm an alcoholic tho  guilty.
