You guys should know that these "translating resources" translate whatever you type in word for word. That won't help a mod unless somebody uses a cuss word in a different language and the context hints towards in a lot... Also, do you really think it sounds realistic to allow speaking in other languages, so that the mods have to sit there and try to find a translation of every sentence spoken to make sure nothing's against ToU? Come on now, that's insane.
Blockey, I was wondering when you'd come to the thread. The mods applied for the job because they wanted. Nobody forced them. They must do their jobs, otherwise others will. There are plenty of people willing to jar their name green. Like I said, the same way some don't speak anything but English, others don't speak English at all. Freedom of speech in our languages.
They have a hard enough workload... And I think all of them have rl jobs, even if not they have commitments and other more important things. To expect them to translate every language they don't know is ridiculous.
There aren't so many languages... There's about 5/6 languages that are spoken in Pimd... And those languages are spoken by at least one of the mods... If the mods not being able to know what it is being said, it would also be against ToU to speak another language in wc... And that is not the case... This rule only applies to forums...
Blocked they were the ones wanting the job. If they don't have time, then shouldn't have applied to it. This rule only applies to forums, because in campus chat everything is allowed. Where's the logic in that?
Agreed. But name one person who wants to be relied on for translating every sentence in a language they don't know. The way they have it is much simpler IMO.
