UnbalancedBy TheBrokenLights Note-If anything gets tedious, please enjoy. Criticism is always heard from me. Prologue- When each step comes forward, and yet you don't desire to go forward, what shall come next? Shall you hide? Shall you fall? Do you even have the strength at all? Or shall you wither away with guilt until you find yourself satisfied? Nobody wants to be unhappy, everyone is just hungry for happiness, greedy the way they slither to try to open the mind, and crave for the attention they don't deserve, and yet the get it. Of all other times, all the loss, bloodshed, sacrifices they made that weren't even worth losing, they get what they want. The desires are brought but new ones come in, and they never leave the mind, just multiply, and what good does that come to? Destruction. Chaos. But mostly they are.... Unbalanced. They don't care. They won't try. They wont even put up a fight unless they want something. The world is just a test, and a test if you were ever made to live. Sure, we multiply, but then waste what we could do, the ability of what we can master. And what we know. "I am I, you are you." And one can find themselves in greater problems, and bloom into something wonderful, but with that fake smile anyone can do. Fake. Completely fake. Crept into the bed, the sheets folding, and toes frigid from entering the bed that echoed to sleep, a girl quietly shivered as her throat was dry, and her clothes were thin, yet she didn't call for help. She edgily got up from her polka dot pink pjs, and went into the hallway which was narrow, and she always felt sick, and unhappy of the hallway. Her father woke up, and carried the girl to her bed, murmuring her to sleep, yawning in the process. As her eyes felt heavy, so did her voice, and she had every ounce of dreams to fulfill her day. But one dream hadn't felt so fake. Waking up, yawning and rubbing her eyes, she never felt so fake. Everything was gone.
Chapter 1 Nothing was foretell, and yet there was nothing for the girl to see was only a barren wasteland, sprinkled with pieces of scrap filled with hills of dirt, that had a musky smell to it. Even her pjs we're still pink, but covered in ash and smoke, but she checked for bruises and burns but none in sight. "Hello?"she yelled in a shrill voice, chocking. But nothing to whisper, only her own voice. Echoing and echoing. But something didn't suit at all. Out in the open, the sky shades then illuminated. She stepped closer. To her astonishment, the sky turned from day to night repeatedly, making the trees dim and shine every minute. Something was up, and she wanted to now why. Feeling the earthy rock around her, she took off her slippers, and did what she could. She ran.
The musky smell of the atmosphere was intoxicating, and nor did the little girl felt safe, running faster as her heartbeat went to miles, but she just kept on running. The sky was swirling, and the dizziness was close to swallowing her up, easily. But she couldn't let that escape what she intended to do. Her clothes were targeted, tattered, close to shreds as she tried to count, thinking like her mother told her. One. Two. Three. Four. Five... The pace was getting ahead of her. She was muttering through tears as she tried to recollect what had happened. Was it all a lie? Did she never feel the same. Time seemed to pass, but she felt like if she was ever on and on continuing on a circle, never finding what she wanted. Slowly, Steadily, Her knees fell. She had no more ounce of strength, for the child was hungry and shivering, with the thin clothing around her. Dragging her legs around, feeling numb as ever, she found a call, piercing, like a thousand drums, in a spilt second felt like death to her. She collapsed, and fell down, trying to get back up. She only saw grins. "Such a cruel game for a child"she heard a menacing voice, through struggling breaths, her ears ringing, sort of. "But she's mighty fit." said another. "We'll hell to you." "Poor thing. Seems like its a puzzle." "Yes, I though she was balanced." "She's on of them." The voice said them like it was the devil. "Take her away." She wanted it end, and never happen. But she only tried to end it. She drifted to a uncomfortable sleep for days to come.
Interesting... Impeccable spelling and grammar, maybe one or two minor mistakes. Definitely something different. I would like to see where this goes.
Waking up, the girl felt like nothing could ever be more lonely, and always the way her reactions brought her here, she thought very hard of how this could have occurred. When in her mind, she notices her family, and wants to know if they were ever alive, and she was still in her bedroom, cozy by her fathers breath, but NO. She was in a dark, room, and she didn't have a clue of what was going on. Was it a dream? No, how could it? It seemed impossible of she could feel the effects of her own weight, pain, etc. She didn't have any strength, to make it feel like her own dream, and her dreams would consist of other stories, full of her own imagination, not this barren wasteland. Maybe nothing else is real? That could explain it, but that should feel like a dream, everything gone from her head, not this waste of time that she had nowhere to go. She tried to escape, but her words are hardened walls over the room, and she couldn't feel any movement that could trigger the cry for assistance. But it wouldn't mean a thing to the girl, even if she told who's responsible how she felt. She would probably say how unbearable it is to stay, but that couldn't happen so easy, there was everything else that tracked her mind. She wobbled up, trying to support her knees from the cold, stone floor, it felt so uncomfortable to sleep on. She dragged her own two feet and struggled to find a light, and nothing seemed to show, it was pitch black. It was like she didn't need to close her eyes to sleep. It was unbelievably dark. As she found her footing, she noticed a hole, a tiny speck that could fit her pupil, so she decided wether or not to look in. But the hole consisted of a huge that could easily mark an indentation. Nothing could ever be easy for the girl. She remembered what that being said the other day: Such a cruel game for a child. Was this all a game? A game? How cruel could anyone lost a child's life for a game? Suddenly, a huge bam came forward, and she was sucked into another room, completely blank, but with a body that was in the corner, rapped in some sort of blanket. As she stepped closer, the body moved, and close to her was a man, about the age of 20, covered in a mask, and his eyes were of neglect, and nothing put in the piece. She hastily came up to the man and looked at him curious but asked quietly, "Who are you?" The voice of the man was dry, and croaking. Her mumbled with delight as she say the eyes of the girl. "Oh God, I finally found someone." "That means your alone?"the girl questioned, surprised that he spoke to her, her hands fumbled. "I am just glad to finally see someone, and yes, I've been alone for who knows how long in this place." The girl was shocked. "So this is real?" the girl cried, afraid. The man looked at her with a sad smile,"I think so, but if you find the others, we may not be alone." The girl stammered,"But I-" And the man hugged her tightly. "It's been so long since I've seen my wife, and friends. I just want to stay here, in a hug. You don't know how great it is." So the girl stood there, unaware of what just happened.
