Tiffany's POV }*{ I ran at lightning speed, my fangs bared. First of all, let me explain. I am a vampire, with blood red hair and eyes to match. My friend Alicia was a werewolf, and we were partners in crime. She would howl to the moon, scare everyone senseless, while I would creep into their homes and terrorize people while stalking them with a knife, then taking money and valuables. All in all, it was a good life, until that cursed day when a human found out who we are. -- Alicia's POV }*{ As soon as I changed into a wolf, I howled. And howled. As usual, Tiffany would sneak in and stalk the humans. My job was boring. Why couldn't have I been a vampire instead of a werewolf? At school, I was constantly teased for being hairy. I mean, I shaved like, three times a day, but my fur, I mean HAIR all over my body grew so fast! It was driving me crazy! Only a human boy's kiss could change me back into a mortal instead of my cursed self. But that wasn't exactly what happened. -- Ivy's POV }*{ I tucked my brown hair behind one ear as I got my bow and arrows. My pointed ears had a few piercings, most of them green. I was an elf, with brown hair, green eyes, a green dress, and a cool aura. I was very popular in high school, but I have been there for a few decades since elves grow three times as slow as humans. My best friend was human, and her name was April. Together, we worked to catch criminals and put them in jail. Right now, April was at home researching these pair of criminals, Red and Wolf. Red was a vampire, but we didn't know her real name, and Wolf was a werewolf, and now one knew her name either. Just then, my phone rang. It was April. I answered to hear what she was going to say about the Red
Tiffany's POV }*{ At school, I followed the mob around as usual. I had on a black shirt with a skull and red shorts, posing as the school mean girl. Alicia had on a pink long sleeved shirt with purple sweat pants to hide the fur all over her body. I noticed Ivy following me while April followed Alicia. Surprisingly, I could hear them talking and laughing. At one point, Ivy was behind the new friends, and I was following Ivy. Suddenly, I could hear Alicia inviting April to her house, and that she would having a hang out. April accepted, then asked if Ivy could come. Alicia, the stupid girl she is, nodded her head and beckoned for Ivy to join them. Face palm! I thought as Ivy and April interrogated poor Alicia. She answered to all the questions honestly. Except one. "Do you have any idea who the criminal pair, Red and Wolf, are?" asked Ivy. Alicia hesitantly shook her head. Good girl, I thought. Olivia, Leah, and Maddie ran up to me. "Tiff! Guess what?" exclaimed Maddie. I noticed that Olivia and Leah were a bit disappointed. "What?" I asked, irritated. "Ethan Smith just asked me out, and his brother Peter asked Sarah out!" she squealed, just as Sarah, Maddie's twin, ran up. Maddie pouts. "None of you are happy for me!" she says, grabs Sarah, and runs off. Maddie and Sarah were the perky, happy girls that everyone liked. They were petite cheerleaders, with Ivy the captain of the team. Ivy had the best of everything, huge mansion, fairy servants, popularity, cheer captain, friends, boys falling head over heels after her. Sigh.... ~~ Ivy's POV }*{ I was sitting with Alicia and April at lunch, when Tiffany ran up, grabbed Al and dragged her to the girl's bathroom, muttering something about a tummy ache and yogurt on her shirt. I motioned to April, and we slipped into the bathroom before them. I hid up in a window, and April snuck into a stall. It was easy for me, since no one could see the window, plus I could make myself invisible. I heard Tiff enter, dragging Alicia after her. "Al! You idiot! Why did you invite that pathetic elf and it's lame sidekick to your house! We were going to Maryland's capital today!" Tiffany cries out. I cocked my ear, using super hearing. "T-T-Tiffany, I didn't mean to! I-I-I could hear a voice in my head telling me to invite them!" Alicia stutters out. Tiffany's eyes flash red. "ALICIA! Don't listen to that stupid thing! She was using telepathy to make you do that!!" Tiffany exploded. "Red....."Alicia says. Tiffany spins around. "Wolf, I don't care! Tell them that your grandma's birthday is today and they can't come or something!" she says, then stalks out of the bathroom. Perfect. Without knowing it, Tiffany/Red and Alicia/Wolf gave us everything we needed to know. Mission almost accomplished.
Ivy's POV }*{ As predicted, Alicia apologized and said that it was her aunt's birthday. I was fine, since now April and I could follow them. After school, I went home, getting out a black outfit. I closed my eyes and concentrated, and my hair turned black. It was a lil power of mine. I say down at my desk with my sleek silver laptop. I started researching Red and Wolf. This time, I found a picture of Tiffany and another one of Alicia. It was taken recently, maybe a few months ago (I could tell be the date). But then I saw the name of the person who had taken the picture. Bad news. I clicked the name and it took me to another page. More of a blog. His picture was right there, and he had posted a picture of me with the words "The love of my life" under it. I was furious. How dare that elf do that?!? I didn't even know he was a photographer. Hearing me cry out in outrage, one of my fairy servants, Mary, fluttered over. Mary was a wrinkled old fairy who loved me the most. She was like the grandmother I never had, since my parents died. Yes, I was an orphan. My parents died trying to kill this evil elf, who happened to be the one who took the picture of Red and Wolf, who's blog has a picture of me saying "The love of my life". It was James de la Rue. The cute French elf who wore all black, was mysterious, and all the girls loved him. Yup, the evil elf who killed my parents was in love with me. Go figure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It will be mostly Ivy's POV from now on, sometimes Tiffany's. (comments are ed)
Ivy's POV }*{ I finally reached Annapolis, the place where Tiffany and Alicia were going to be. April and I snuck out of the car in out black outfits and started following Red and Wolf. They got to a certain neighborhood, and then Alicia turned into a wolf and howled, while Red slipped into a house and came back loaded with possessions and cash. As soon as Red would steal things, I would sneak back in ad return it, then come back with a bag stuffed with either potatoes or cotton. As soon as Tiff and Al were done, we all drove off in separate cars. I felt good. Maybe we hadn't been able to catch the thieves, but we returned valuables and gave Red and Wolf some potatoes. Life is good. The next day at school, I had on an orange shirt with jeans. The shirt had a leaf picture on it, but then again Mary had made me wear it. I was innocently putting my books in my locker when James de la Rue waltzed up to me. This cannot be good, I thought. Earlier in the day, I heard James talking with his buddies about how no one has ever dated me, and he was going to change that. Anyways, he waltzed up, hands in his pockets, smirk on his face. James' tousled black hair was all over the place, and his icy blue eyes stared into mine. James' pointy elf ear stuck out, which looked pretty cute. "Hey," he said. "Hi," I replied, closing my locker and turning to face him, very aware of the whispering guys and gossipy girls around me. "So......"James said. I raised my eyebrows. "Spit it out, I gotta get to class," I said. "So, Ivy, you wanna go out for coffee tomorrow at two?" I nodded. Tomorrow was perfect since it was Saturday. I tossed my green hair and sashayed up to class, jealous guys and girls following me. I couldn't wait for tomorrow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ivy's POV }*{ The next day, I woke up bright and early, as usual. I spot my outfit laying on my chair. Yesterday afternoon, I went to Macy's and bought a green turtleneck with a dove on it and a pretty swirly design plus skinny jeans with a peace sign. This morning, my hair was pink, which was odd since it has only turned pink the day of my parent's deaths. Uh oh. I quickly changed my hair color to brown, since I wanted to look natural and not walk into the coffee pink hair. Although I might make my hair green. If James doesn't like my hair or my outfit, then oh well. Might as well dump me because I'll probably wear it again. I hope he doesn't do that. Then I noticed a note on my desk. No one ever leaves a note, either they text me, email me, snail mail me or just tell one of the servants to tell me. Or they call or come to talk face to face. Never a note. This was a first. The note read, "Ivy, meet me at the playground ten minutes after eight. Wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty and hiking boots. ~James. P.S. bring the clothes you want to wear to the cafe. xD. See you there!" I loaded my backpack with food, drink, first aid, and my clothes for the cafe. Then, I put on an old green shirt and brown sweatpants, plus tall, dirty, brown boots. I tucked my long green ponytail into a brown cap. All set. Lastly, I left a note on my bed explaining where I will be in case Mary will start panicking. When she does that, all the other servants start to panic too. After that, I slipped out the window into a tree. Leaping from tree to tree like a crazed monkey, I reached the playground at exactly 8:09. James was already there, pacing there sandbox. I quickly and quietly moved to the tree right above James, and dropped on the soft sand. James scrambled back, his eyes wide, as I laughed. As soon as he got his breath back, James grinned at me. "Well. You're right on time!" he smiles. "Yup," is my reply.I'm nervous for some reason. How come Janes makes me like that? He was just an elf. An incredibly hot, super sweet, french...ok I should stop now. Anyways, today he had on a brown outfit and hiking boots, just like mine. Hehe. James took my hand, making my heart do jumping jacks, and lead me to a certain tree. He carefully climbed to the top, but I shimmied up a tree nearby and leaped onto the tree James was on. What can I say? I'm pure elf tomboy. James looked impressed. Hmph. He should be. I smirked. "Please don't tell me you thought I was one of those tiny elves who are afraid of everything except shopping," I said, laughingly. "I hope not!" was the reply. I laughed. "So, why are we here?" I asked. James pointed that there was a start of a trail at the base of our tree. I noticed there was a wall of trees, so unless you wanted to walk for a day and a half, you'd have to climb the tall, thin trees. I jumped down onto the trail. "Well," I called up at James. "Are you coming or not?" He jumps down, wobbling a bit. I steady him, and we start walking down the trail, James hand snaking into mine. I blush, but take his hand. James leads me to a little clearing, where we set out the food and have a picnic. That's when the trouble starts. }*{
Tiffany's POV }*{ I snuck after Ivy and James. I saw James leading Ivy to a tree, and once they were both on it they jumped to the other side. I decided to do the same. I climbed a tree, slipping a few times, and jumped. Bad idea. I probably twisted my ankle, since I could barely walk. Using two tough branches as crutches, I made my way up a trail, the same one Ivy and James went by, laughing and holding hands. I could hear them talking from even here. I paused. That didn't sound like James and Ivy....they wouldn't make plans to kill someone...or would they?~~~~~~~~~~ Ivy's POV }*{ I could hear someone talking along the trail, but I ignored it. James had lead me to a little meadow, with beautiful wildflowers and a picnic set up in the middle. James led me to the picnic, and he took off my cap and set a daisy crown on my hair. My hair turned brown, which went well with the flowers. "James, it's beautiful. How did you find this place?" I asked. "I was taking a hike when I just saw it." he replied. I smiled. It was so sweet of James to bring me on a picnic. After we had eaten, James and I shared stories. I told him about Mary and the servants, and James told me about his family. "My 6 year old brother, Zack is so cute. He has a twin sister, Shelly. My 8 year old sister, Jaclyn, or Jackie, is a really good soccer player. Zack, Shelly, and Jackie all play softball, but Zack also does baseball, Shelly plays the violin, and Jackie is a soccer star. My older brother, Chris, is in collage, but when we do get to see him, the whole family has a softball game. My mom plays tennis, but she is pretty gods at softball, too. Whenever the annual Chris softball game rolls around, it's always boys against girls. Right now, the girls are winning, 2-1. Chris wants to be a lawyer, so he still has a few more years of collage." When it is about time to leave the glade, Tiffany barges in. "Ivy, James, hurry, please! I overhead someone talking about murdering magical creatures, like elves, fairies, vampires, and werewolves!" I stand up and get the things together. "Tiffany, are you sure about this?" she nods. "I need to call Alicia!" Tiff says. I sigh and hand her my cell phone to borrow. I can only hear Tiffany's side of the conversation, so it goes something like this: "Alicia! Hurry! I'm at that meadow I showed you yesterday! You don't need to know why, I'll tell you later! No you can't bring your laptop! Actually, bring it if it is portable. Pack lots of clothes! Bring your cell phone! No, don't take the pink Barbie backpack! Take your brother's brown one! It doesn't matter what cell phone case! Bring clothes that are comfy, not fashionable! Bring those small clothes that are in my size! No I don't have clothes with me! I don't have my cell phone either! Yes I am borrowing Ivy's phone dumbo! Alright, see you there!" By that time, I had used James' phone to call April, James called his werewolf buddy and his vampire brother. After a few minutes, a party of four crashed through the trees. Alicia was deep in conversation with the werewolf dude, Brian. The vampire, Peter, was interviewing April about life as a human. The now group of seven walked into the forest, ready to face any dangers that were in our way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
