i have a problem with the terms. you speak of your crew and upgrading them, then talk of never dropping them. your crew is your roommates in your dorm. to upgrade it is neccessary to drop, or evict, your roommates. when you say drop youre referring to tuts, and while you lose money when you drop a tut, it can be helpful to drop them when they are overpriced and you want better tuts.
