Chapter Four " The one with water colored eyes " Misuki skipped in to the garden behind the beautiful white mansion she called home. She loved this time of year, being able to run outside to the gardens. Breathing in fresh air and bringing back ripe red roses and purple tulips. A smile gracing her ruby red lips. She suddenly halted upon seeing the figure of a young maiden sitting alone amongst the roses she planted two weeks prior. Her eyebrows furrowed down in concern. She seemed lonely, perhaps she needed a friend. Taking slow hesitant steps, she made her way towards the girl. Her feet forced her to a stop just a few feet from the other young lady. She tapped her chin in thought, noticing something very familiar about the other. Shrugging her shoulders and occupying the seat beside her, she forced away any worries and grinned brightly. Sliding her long hair over one shoulder as she faced her company, " Hi! My name is Misuki! Sorry to intrude, but you seemed really lonely and I just thought I would come over and see if you wanted some company? ", She said softly with her eyes training to see the other girl's face. Anna shifted slightly in her spot, her form less rigid as she lifted her chin to gaze at Misuki. Her water colored eyes reflecting all the sorrow that she felt. She needn't strain her hearing for the loud gasp that left the shorter girl's lips, " Misuki, so wonderful to see you again. Even under such terrible circumstances. I'm relieved to see you are decent. I was worried that you would not make the trip. But atlas you have. ", She replied with a gentle tone. Anna did not want to scare the poor girl half to death. Unfortunately she had no power over another's emotions. Her lips twitched upwards in to a tiny saddened smile. Relaxing slowly and wrapping her slender arms around the younger girl after being hugged around the midsection. She cringed alittle at the sobs released from the younger girl, " Misuki, do not cry, it will be alright. You need to stay strong. I have come to you for this purpose only. To make sure you arrived safely and remind you if the importance of this mission. I believe in you, I know you will proceed with fulfilling the prophecy. You are special in so many ways. I miss you my dear sweet Misuki. ", She whispered softly in to the other girl's ear. Reaching over to run her fingers through her hair affectionately. Misuki squeezed her tight, sobs quieting down after hearing Anna's soothing voice and words of encouragement. She felt the warmth down to her very soul. Whatever fear she had felt was replaced with strength and the thirst to keep pushing forward. Her head lifted from the silky white blouse, " Anna, I'm so ecstatic to see you. I've missed you so, it's so different here on earth. Much has changed but I have no forgotten my mission here. I will foresee that the mission is successful.", She answered to her companion's softened expression. Her eyes widened catching sight of the other's eyes. How could she forget, those beautiful rain colored eyes. Her heart ached to return home. Shifting to sit up, she leaned in and placed a chaste kiss to her pale cheek. Her skin felt cold to the touch, especially to her warm lips. Lips turning slowly in a frown. She tilted her gaze to look at her. To her astonishment she was becoming transparent. Either her mind was playing tricks on her. Or she was facing a serious dilemma. Biting down on her lower lip, she reached out to grab her arm. Her hand went right through her like a holographic trick. A whimper sounded from her, " Anna! Don't go! I need you, please don't leave!! ", She cried in anguish and aggravation. She halted her actions and wails. Watching her friend point to her heart and smile before disappearing with a kiss blown in her direction. Misuki jolted up from her slumber. Breaths coming out in short gasps of air. She pulled her knees to her chest, trembling slightly. A hand rested on the crown of her head. Attention and guard up quickly, she grabbed the wrist of the intruder to her thoughts. She was met with a worried gaze and...rain colored eyes. " Anna?! ", She gasped out in shock. The other person stared back in confusion. Still holding a tray of hot ramen soup and hot green tea. She knelt down beside the couch where Misuki sat upright. Her mid back length blonde hair fell over her shoulders, " Um no, I'm sorry. We haven't properly met since you passed out. My name is Kaiko. I brought you home, I apologize for being so rash. I just couldn't leave you to catch ammonia out there. ", She replied in a as a matter of fact tone. Gently tapping her knee, she motioned for the other to lay her legs out. Humming softly to herself as her companion complied so she could rest the tray on her lap, " I cooked you some ramen soup with green tea. Please pardon me for changing you in to some of my clothes. I couldn't leave you in that wet dress you were sporting out there. Please eat up. ", She said while smiling kindly at her. Misuki gazed at her for what seemed like ever. She looked so much like Anna, the resemblance was uncanny. Though there was a height difference and her hair was slightly lighter than Kaiko's. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment for staring. Turning her attention to her food. She lightly blew and ate it slowly with the spoon she was provided. Still watching her new stranger from a distance. Kaiko smiled kindly at her and moved towards the window. Curling up and leaning her back against the window after climbing onto the sill. She followed the trail of rain drops slivering down the outside window. Wandering eyes shifting to watch the people run for cover on the streets below.
Chapter Six " Sweet misery take over " Misuki decided to head out with Kaiko, after much persuasion. She had to admit, the blonde knew how to get people to see her way of things. They took the five flight of stairs down a quiet light blue painted hallway. Everything had a strange scent to her senses. It was all still new and peculiar to her. She had a mission that she could not forget. Her eyes drifted to the blonde beside her, who stepped out of the hallway and out to the side walk first. Tilting her head to the side slightly, she studied her aura. It was a arrange of light colors flaring out. A darker aura drifting in towards the core. Kaiko was not an ordinary being, she was different from other people she met a long the way. Brushing it off and placing the thought to the back of her mind. She forced her feet to move forward and stand under the umbrella that her companion held over them. A smile curved the corners of her pale pink lips upwards. Light green eyes shifted from the small sandwich shop across the street. To gaze at the dark skies above them. Rain continued to hail down upon the city and drown people to the core. No doubt there would be a lot of colds drifting around. She barely heard Kaiko calling to her to follow, " Huh? Oh! Sorry, I'm coming. ", She said quickly as she walked beside the taller girl. Her eyes shifted to every store, person and object that came across their path. Every detail saved in her mind and stored away for safe keeping. She couldn't stay here, but she could atleast save the memories of it all. If just for a short period of time. They shifted pace quicker and made a sharp stop at a grocery market a block down from the apartment building. Feeling a tug on her sleeve, she looked up from staring in through the window. Giggling slightly at the blonde's arched eyebrow and confused expression. Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment, walking in behind her. It was like being shoved in to a room full of strange but amazing things. The smells, the colors and images flooded her senses like a tornado. Her light green eyes slowly glimmered to fade in to a light blue. She had to hold back from running over and picking up an object that looked like a half shaped moon and yellow in color. She had no idea what it was, but it looked delicious. Had she really been gone for so long, to where every child hood memory disappeared? Kaiko observed the young lady with a quirk of amusement shining in her eyes. Not even realizing that she had already begun to laugh outwardly. Ignoring the curious looks she received from customers nearby. Grabbing a basket from the door they entered through. She bagged a few bananas and set them in the basket. Waving off Misuki's confused and embarrassed mumbles. She nodded her head to the girl, instructing her to follow. Which the younger girl obediently did. She hummed softly to herself, a strange and old tune her mother used to sing to her when she was little. She reached out and picked out carrots and a few more vegetables and fruits. Moving her direction towards the meat section. Kaiko followed her like a curious kitten, checking every thing out a long the way. Even stopping to poke at a green pepper stacked high on a pile. She hasn't had company in so long. She had forgotten what it felt like. Feeling at ease and humming still, they picked out various things they needed for that night's supper. Tugging on Misuki's sleeve once in awhile and ushering her along not to lurk anywhere too long. Once they reached the register and began paying for everything. She turned her head to glance at Misuki, who stopped to help an older lady pick up a dropped bag of apples which scattered the floor. Her gaze softened watching her. She seemed very sweet, curious and alittle lost. But she enjoyed her company. Smiling alittle at her younger companion once she joined her. They grabbed the grocery bags and headed back out in to the rain and thunder. Misuki shuddered lightly as thunder shook the buildings with the tremendous anger it gave off. How could she be enjoying herself, while others were suffering? She felt ashamed and frustrated. Shifting her attention to Kaiko. A gasp escaped her lips as she caught her watching her. Kaiko blinked several times and adverted her gaze after being caught. They remained silent the rest if the way up until after they climbed the stairs and made it safely back in to the quiet of the apartment. The young blonde unwrapped several packages and set things away and left a few things out. Smiling as her companion diligently helped her without being asked. She picked up two aprons from a hidden place in one of the drawers by the sink. One had a pink bunny stitched on the front with a ' With much love dearest ' stitched below it. That one was handed to Misuki, and the other more simply stitched apron, with flowers and bubble bees, Kaiko slipped on herself. They got to work on rinsing off the carrots and green peppers, and cutting them up in to smaller portions after. Both working quiet side by side. The lock on the front door shifted to it's side as keys jangled while turning the locks. A male voice giving a greeting once the door was opened and closed seconds later. Misuki blinked in confusion hearing the footsteps. She set her knife down and picked up another carrot she was going to clean. Turning on her heel to walk over to the sink. A gasp was heard from the opening of the kitchen. She turned to see a familiar but surprised face. The carrot fell from her hands and hit the ground with a light thud. Light colored blue eyes widening in shock. She couldn't believe her eyes. He was really here, standing just a few feet from her. Kaiko shifted uncomfortably and looked back and forth between Misuki and other gentleman that exchanged surprised looks, " What's going on? ", She inquired with authority like power lacing in her usually calm voice.
