Hey guys! Just wanna try this fanfic out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Musket ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alissa's POV "GET OUT OF THERE!" Jaime's voice rocked throughout the hollow, empty house. It was sudden, like thunder from an unseen lightning. I was about to leave as he instructed, when his face burst out of the moldy doors. He wore a raged expression. "What?" I asked. "There has to be a reason you shouted." He didn't answer, but grabbed my hand and flung me at the dusty window, where white sunlight filtered through. I felt...betrayed. A thousand shards of glass pierced through my skin, but the physical pain didn't compare to the emotions I felt inside. I trusted Jaime. I told him everything, my weaknesses, my vulnerabilities. I admitted that I loved him, and this, this happened? I broke inside. I promised myself that I wouldn't be led by emotions, at a time like this where I am risking my life in all my wrong decisions. But still...I was an idiot to fall for him, and dumb to trust him, when I couldn't see that he wore a mask to cover up his feelings. I felt my back hit the icy, barren ground, and the pain reminded me to not trust anyone. I looked overhead and saw Jaime, over the frayed threads of pale vines. His reddish-yellow hair was distinct, like fire in the pallid snow. I knew, he was beautiful...but beauty deceives whoever falls into its trap. Fool! I was a fool. A fool for Jaime. But not anymore. I could feel fury building inside me, and I flung all of it out. At him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jaime's POV Fool. Liss was such a fool. I used a common tactic, one lacking ingenuity, truth be told. Yet Liss fell for it, and it was a move that surprised me most. At first I thought she had a plan in mind, but then admitted that she loved me, as her feelings toward me grew. Loved me? Such a poor thing, love, it can make someone do anything as you please. A type of voodoo. And now to finish her off, before I fall for her... ... Fall for her? Damn my stupid guts. I won't fall for her, never in my broken life. I hate these distractions. Better finish her off before the only two of us remain in the Games, if the odds ever be in her favor.
