Chapter 1 I was perfectly happy, sitting down and reading my Stephan King book. Well, I was until Percy decided to throw a baseball at me. Wham! Something hit me in the back of the head. I turned around and saw Percy and his friends laughing at me. I looked down and saw a baseball. "C'mon Wolf, get the ball. You can do it!" he said in a baby voice. I picked up the baseball and chucked it at his head. He ducked and he started laughing with his friends again. I felt a growl coming from deep inside. I almost lunged at him when someone grabbed my arm. "They're not worth it." I turned and saw Will. His dark eyes bore into mine. I sighed and relaxed. He let go of my arm. "We need to go anyways," he whispered. We were going to leave school peacefully until Percy opened his mouth. "Where are you two love birds off to now?" he asked. This time, it was Will's turn to go rigid. He turned and walked up to Percy. "Get this through your thick skull. We are not dating. We're friends who hang out. Get it? Good. Now run off before I call your mom and tell her you've been a bad boy," Percy stood there in shock, not believing what Will just said. "What did you just say, Dogbreath?" he asked.A circle started to form around Will, Percy, and the rest of his gang. "You heard me. I said either you grow a brain. Or have your mom do it for you." The crowed gasped. Nobody has ever went one on one with Percy and his gang and lived to tell the tail. "And, hey, maybe, just maybe, I could teach you how to be more gentlemen like. And less golden retriever like," I said. Percy looked at me, daring me to say more. "Oh sure, your big and bad now. But on the inside, you're just a little puppy." The words just kept coming out. I don't even know where I got them from. "Hey, hey, hey. What's all this?" Mr. Bova, the physics teacher, came running up into the mob. "Nothing, sir. We're just having a friendly chat," Percy said. Mr. Bova raised an eyebrow. "Well then, Mr. Halgen, I suggest you and your friends take this chat else where. That goes for all of you!" All the students walked away shaking their heads. They really wanted to see a fight. "I'm bit finished with you, dog," Percy said as he walked passed. Will walked up to me smiling. "Ready to save this city?" he asked. "Born ready."
Update time!!! Chapter 2 There is something I have forgotten to mention. Will and I are the local superheroes. Weird right? You'd think the secret identities of heroes would be nice. I can shoot a bow and arrow better than Katniss Everdeen. Also, I have tracking skills, super strength, and strong bones. My parents mysteriously died in a fire when I was four. I've been living by myself in this secret hideout I made. It's got everything from food to bathrooms. Will can sense things and has great eye sight and sense of smell. Oh, and he has wings. They're big and black; a least 14 feet long. His parents also died in a fire. Coincidence? He found my hideout when we were six. We kind of just became friends on the spot. Now, as sophomores in high school, we save the city from villains. "Did you hear Percy back there? 'I'm not done with you yet, dog.' What is he going to do?" I asked. Wolf laughed at me. "But you did good back there," he said. We were a few blocks away from the clubhouse. "You think? I probably could have done it better though." Will stopped and looked around. "What's wrong?" I asked. Then I heard it. The faint roar of a truck engine. "****!" Will swore. "It's Percy and his gang." I imedeitly went into a fighting stance. As did Will. "I can't find them," he said. I listened carefully. There were no running feet and no voices. It's gotta be an ambush of some sort. "On top of-" Will started to say when eight figures dropped out of no where. All of them were from our school. Then I noticed a figure making its way toward us. There was something in his hand. In fact, everyone had something. "Look who we found boys. Must be our lucky day." As the figure came into view, it was Percy. Anyone could have seen that one coming. "So about that chat we had at school. Want to finish it?" he asked in a sinister voice. Will looked like he was going to murder someone. Which was probably going to happen. Percy was holding a chain. He started to swing it in a circle. His eyes were wide and he was ready for a fight. If its a fight he wants, it's a fight he'll get.
Chapter 3 The fight started. Guys from Percy's gang came from all around. They had bats, shovels, and anything that could really hurt some one. I punched a guy in the ribs and heard a snap. I must have broke it. Another guy came running in front of me. I step sided, turned around and boxed his ears. He hollered out in pain and dropped. I looked over at Will and saw that he and Percy were circling each other. I ran over to help but a couple of guys grabbed me from behind. One stepped in front of me and rolled up his sleeves. "It'll be a shame to destroy a pretty face," he said. I squirmed but I couldn't get free. This guys were stronger than I thought. "Knock her out guys," Percy said. I looked over at him and his nose looked broken. Blood gushed out onto the pavement. I didn't see Will anywhere. "The other one's gone. We got to get moving. They could show up at anytime." A cloth covered my mouth and nose. I tried to get away but they only held me tighter. Noxious fumes entered my airways. I saw yellow spots and felt dizzy. My limbs were all numb. The guys dropped me and I fell to the ground. Percy stood over me with a look of triumph on his face. He kicked me in the stomach before I finally passed out.
...that progressed fast. Also it became quite confusing. Super powers? How'd they get those? And it's just really confusing.
Yeah, it is a little confusing. I suggest you go through it more slowly, take your time explaining and describing what happens, so it's more understandable.
Three Months Earlier I was practicing with my bow and arrow in Will's and mine clubhouse. I could hear Will sword fighting with a dummy. My aim was getting a lot better. And my tracking skills were too. So were Will's. He goes out flying ever night while I try to find him. Will and I have had our powers ever since we were born. I'm not exactly sure how we got them. If it was either a genetic science experiment gone wrong, or something much more. "Hey Wolf," Will said. He walked into the target range. "I had this crazy idea. I'm not sure I'd you'll want to go along with it or what." I let my arrow fly. It hit the target dead center. I dropped my bow and looked at him. "What is it?" I asked. "Well, remember last week when we were out practicing? We passed that chic who was being robbed. She cried out to us but we ignored her." I remembered that. We wanted to help her but then she would know who we were. "Yeah, what about?" "I saw on the news last night that she was killed by that guy. We could've stopped him." I thought about it for a moment. Where was Will going with this? "What if we actually did go out and help people?" Will asked. "Like vigilantes? That actually doesn't sound half bad." I thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, I've been creating these helmets for a while now. They only come off when either when you or I touch them." Will was great with technology. It didn't surprise me that he built something like that. "You've thought of everything, haven't you?" I asked. "Everything but the name. I was hoping you could help with that." A name that would describe us. I could think off a few but they're not appropriate for younger readers. "How about Shadowslayer and Huntess?" I told him. Will's eyes lit up like they normally do when he has an idea. "Give me three days," he said. I nodded and he ran out of the room.
Present Day There was a sharp jolt. My head hit something. I struggled to open my eyes. My body ached and I was extremely tired. When I got my eyes opened, I was sitting in the passenger seat of a red mustang. The seat was tilted forward all the way. The seat was pulled up toward the air bag. My hands were tied behind the seat and I had a gag in my mouth. I looked at the driver and it was Percy. He looked at me with an evil grin. I struggled against the restraints but I was too weak. "Yeah, good luck with that!" Percy laughed. "We're almost there anyways." The seat was too far forward for me to look out the windshield. The car finally stopped. Percy got out of the car. I could hear voices from outside. The door opened. My hands were unbound and someone ripped me out from the seat. A couple of guys grasped me from behind. They half dragged half pushed me toward a warehouse. The guys held on tight to me as I squirmed. "In there," Percy pointed. There was a small cell four feet by four feet. They shoved me in there and locked it. I stood up and grabbed the door. I can break this easily, I thought. Suddenly, a current if electricity went through me. I screamed and dropped the ground. I started whimpering and curled up in a ball. Percy turned around and laughed at me. "Did I forget to mention that it's electric? Oh we'll, once we find your boyfriend, that will be the least of your worries."
