Hello forums! I thought I would make a guide today! How to Make a Good Thread Making a good thread takes a lot of work. It should take at least 30 minutes to make. Yes, it is possible to make a good thread in less than 30 minutes, but it is very rare. If you want to make it even better, than you should make a rough draft and revise it many times. Also, lurk around forums for awhile. See which threads have succeeded, and which ones have failed. You can also ask any good forumer for some good advice in making successful threads. Here are some other things a good thread should have. - A rough draft - A good intro - A well thought out body - Plenty of bbcodes And a good conclusion These are some of the basics that a good thread must require. The difference between a good thread, and a bad thread A good thread has good grammar, while a bad thread does not. A good thread is long and is very interesting, while a bad thread had 1-3 lines of crap. A good thread can contain some humorous, helpful, or informative advice. Other useful info Do not make a thread that already has another thread about the same topic. Make sure you post your thread in the right category! Make something completely original! Put thought into your thread. Make readers want more. IMO, I love long threads, however reading short, spammy threads make my eyes hurt. Feedback Feedback is much appreciated on the quality of this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I really hope this helped. Ps. I might be new to this game, but I do have forum experience. Thank you, -kitty
@kezza- if you include what I suggested in this thread, and use bbcodes, it will male it look more polished and professional.
It would be great if this was stickied, however, I don't expect it to be. But that's up to y'all though!
