  1. Whoa wait... BOCKS!!!! You're alive!!

  2. Sleepy update time. 

I push him away, blushing slightly.
"No, no I'm not." I grumble, and move to help Molly replace Travis on the bed. Molly strokes his forehead.
"He's not a bad guy, you know."
"I know. He's the good guy and I'm the bad guy." Darren rolls his eyes, "Soulless monsters and such. And I'm the one he seeks out because I probably wronged him in some way, some time. Like I took his sister or something like that, and he's vowed to hunt me down and kill me. This is how it goes, right?"
"It was my mom." Travis has awoken much faster than anticipated.
"Your mom?" Darren raises an eyebrow, "I'm not that old, nor am I a Lolita."
"She looked much younger than she was. We were teenagers. I caught you with my mom..."
"Oh. I see. Strange, I don't even remember you..." Darren frowns deeply.
"Yeah, well. I'd swore I'd kill you somehow. Always so close, yet so far away." He says wistfully, and I look at Darren.
"So I slept with your mom. You kept a grudge for this long?"
    "I-"
"Because that's just ridiculous." Darren looks ready to rant.
"Look. You two should just leave."
"How can I leave you with this...this..."
    "Monster?" Darren suggests,
    "monster!"
    "Very, very easily." Darren replies.

  3. Omg I just love itttttttt

  4. Bump I love it but sometimes I get confused on who's talking

  5. "Darren." I murmur more than say, and he looks at me, but really, looks through me. He has an empty look in his eyes, as if he's grasping for something so close yet he can't reach it. I touch his arm, jolting him from his searching. Molly coos over Travis and Hazel and Violet have decided to leave, which was probably a wise choice.
"We'll count this as a draw." Travis grumbles in his strangely high pitched voice,
"More like I decided to spare your ass again, though I don't know why." Darren grunts, but makes no move to stop them from exiting. Travis reaches for his gun.
"Molly." I say sharply, and she looks back at me and grabs the gun from Travis. Molly has the most mournful look in her eyes, as if she's saying goodbye to me forever, and maybe that is the case. It's quite possible.
"We should go too." Darren mutters, and I wish I knew what was going on in his head as he walks out of the room. His posture reminds me of a sullen teenager, except he would've slammed the door, had that been the case. I follow him somewhat dutifully, dragging the suitcase behind me.
"Well, we're off, be good girls while we're gone." Darren says, mimicking a father, and he even kisses their foreheads. Violet goes slack jawed and Hazel looks like she's about to vomit.

"Home sweet home." Darren muses as the car, whom I have decided to name Wheezy, sputters to a stop. I stare at the intimidating castle, even more intimidating as the sun sinks slowly below the skyline.
"Yeah. Home." I walk past Darren and briskly set about the task of finding my room again. Around 106, I run into the copper haired girl. She looks less rushed, but equally harried, as she runs a hand through her short hair. Her eyes are the most quizzical mixture of purple and orange, forming like Yin and Yang around her pupils.
"Hello." She says in a pleasant accent I can't be bothered to place.
    "Hi." I say, reluctantly.

  6. "New blood?" She says, sympathy dripping from her voice. I don't know why exactly, but she annoys me. She shouldn't, but she does.
    "Yeah."
"I remember when I was a new blood. It was positively terrifying. I didn't have quite as much luck as you; I found myself in a casket, caked in makeup." She says ruefully, tracing the long scar starting at her cheek, ending at her collarbone, which I could see a little too much of.
"How'd you get out?" I say, confused.
"I can do the invisible thing..." She says conspiratorially, "I was so scared, it happened right then and there. It's not just becoming invisible for me; I floated. People don't float!" She sighs dramatically,
"I'm Isabella, by the way. And you are?"
"Fae the fairy." Chase answers her as she walks through the long corridor, Dimitri and a ridiculously pale guy trailing after her.
    "Edwiener is looking for you."
The pale guy puts his face in his hands and makes a mournful sound.
"Hey Eddy." Isabella smiles, and the boy melts.
"Izzy, I thought I'd never see you again! My heart would've ripped itself in two which would've been horrifically spectacular, and Dimitri would've had to staple it back together, and he would make a liver instead of a heart, and probably vomit a few times. He has a terribly weak constitution, why would you do that to dear, sweet Dimitri?" His accent is very posh, and he himself has classical looks, down the curl of the hair and shape of the eye, he is a Greek statue come to life. Isabella shakes her head, rather wearily, "I swear, Eddy, if I could, I would remove your mouth."
"If you did that, who would you speak to and have say 'mhmm' and, 'very interesting', and 'that trollop!'? Certainly not Dimitri." Dimitri snorts and looks at Chase pleadingly. Chase has a broad smile on her mouth, and it looks like her face will split in two with the magnitude of that smile. I watch, amused at their friendly banter.
"And who is this fine young lady?" Ed said, noticing me, "Why, she is so petite I hadn't noticed her!"
"This is Fae. Fae must be going now." I mutter, realizing that this conversation could go in forever.
"I am pleased to make your acquaintance, Fae. My name is Edward, but I would prefer Eddy. It's a shame you must leave." He says, sounding dramatically mournful.
"We have been standing about for quite awhile now. We'll go do our own business." Chase says hurriedly, finding an out of this conversation. She ushers a very pleased Dimitri down the corner from whence they came.

I, for my part, find my suite rather quickly. Quicker than I thought. The sun has barely made its departure, hues of red and violet lingering in the sky. I stare at them from the desk that faces the window. The sudden exhaustion that overtook me the minute I entered the room resurfaces when I've gotten all of my stuff in their proper places. There is a knock on my door. I jump, bumping my knee against the desk.
"Come in!" I call, rubbing my kneecap.
"Dinner." A familiar, forever light-hearted voice wraps around me. I turn with delight, remembering this person not for what he did, but for his manor and his look.
    "Ben!"

  7. Who's Ben...?

  8. Ben's face has a broad, earnest smile plastered on it. Ben had been a friend of Darren's, and then mine. Which meant Ben had known as well, that was going to happen to me. This information hit me straight in the chest. He moves in for a hug, but looks at my face as horrified realization crosses my face,
"You knew." I say, wide eyed.
    "Knew what?"
"Knew what was going to happen to me."
"Of course I knew. I brewed the potion." He shrugs,
    "You...you brewed it?"
"Yes. I'm lucky I didn't die for saving you."
    "...What?"
"Ed told me someone very special for Darren would die if I didn't make a string enough love potion."
So Ed is clairvoyant. Darren doesn't believe in clairvoyance. Yet...
    "Saved my life." I mumble.

    Short, short update.
