My "friend" was making gay jokes today.. I told her to stop, about 20 minutes later her and the rest of my friends were hanging out with the guys... Including a guy she called "gay" she and the rest of my friends left... I stayed behind! one of he friends came up to me and told me she was tired of me and told me I was acting like a little bitch. I started crying when she left.. All the guy comforted me.. I lost all my friends and ruined my "popular" girl reputation but I've never been so proud.
The best part is that even though she and the girl who confronted me and called me a little bitch left, when I was crying, the guys comforted me, the people who I didn't even know comforted me, and the people who I always thought would never let their pride break hugged me and asked if I was okay.
And ikr? I hate gay jokes and Jewish jokes. I mean, how would you feel if people started usi your race/religion/sexual orientation..etc. as an insult?
Mona is right. To coin a phrase, "the bigger the bill, the harder you ball." And you stepped up to the plate when you felt you needed to and it was useful, a good, if not strategic place to jump in and defend something/someone who deserved it and had done nothing (twas a big bill) and you shot their asses down and balled damn hard. Quite lovely.
People that aren't scared to stand up and point out something wrong that another person is doing has more respect than any popular person hands down. So even tho you lost your "popular" girl image you earned respect by more people that you think
