Some of you have had this delectable dessert at various restaurants. Some Mexican places serve this with powdered sugar and honey. Asian restaurants use a Panko breading. Regardless of where you get it, the prices are always terrible. Making it at home is not as complicated as you may think. It's easy and you can create your own flavors/ variations NOTE**my -bucket is being a POS right now I'll put up my pics when I get it working. INGREDIENTS: 1 quart vanilla ice cream 3 cups crushed cornflakes cereal or frosted flakes my favorite 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3egg whites quarts oil various toppings that you desire such as -powdered sugar -honey -chocolate sauce Whipped cream Etc... DIRECTIONS: Scoop ice cream into eight 1/2 cup sized ice cream balls. Place on a baking sheet with wax paper and freeze until firm, roughly one hour in a shallow dish combine cornflakes and cinnamon. In another bowl beat egg whites until foamy almost frothy. roll ice cream balls in egg whites then in the corn flakes, covering ice cream completely. repeat process if necessary freeze again until icecream is firm between three hours or overnight - in a deep fryer on a large heavy saucepan heat oil to 375°F using a basket or a slotted spaghettilike spoon fry ice cream balls one or two at a time for roughly 10 to 15 seconds until you get a Golden crust. Serve immediately with desired toppings ENJOY
I'll totally try this. I am a scientist and everything on earth is an experimented! Mauahahahah AKIRA IS A MAD EVIL GENIUS!!!
It's really simple. I even keep some frozen in my freezer year round just dip them in the corn flakes and egg the day before I have friends or family over. We make it a ice cream party with all the toppings. Same with home style cold stone icecream
Sounds good. I'm no chef so forgive my ignorance. In step 1, we are talking about ice cream right? Why do you have to freeze it for an hour? Isn't it already frozen? I'm hungry now...
Well Johnny, if you recall, icecream melts when pulled out of the freezer. Also it has to be soft enough to mold into a ball. So after its molded into form you have to refreeze it or the icecream will melt into frosted flakes
Stupid thing won't upload my pics. I've logged back in, removed it from running programs list rebooted the device even deleted it and reinstalled it. Nada
you can use the bbcode and copy the URL from the bar on your web browser and paste it in between the brackets. Boom imgages without photo bucket
I finally learned how to I'm with flare, I always wondered how they fried it without it completely melting
