Hey... This thread is serious even though only a few people will care. I'm already in a serious mood with my first day of school today and what happened earlier on forums tonight. If you come here to troll, you'll get out unsatisfied so don't waste your time. Yesterday in the province of Quebec, a new prime minister was named. It was an historical day for the Quebec in many ways. The new prime minister is a woman, for the first time in the Province's history. After her nomination, she went to what is called the Metropolis, in Montreal, for a speech. Everyone there was happy... Or almost. A bit before midnight, a black car arrived and parked behind the building. A man got out of it with an AK-47 and a some fuel. He entered by behind and lighted the door on fire. He then opened fire on two maintenance workers, killing one and injuring the other one. He did it at midnight. I was watching the TV for the speech and at midnight exactly, a gang of bodyguards literally took the Prime Minister away from the stage to her car. She wanted to go back inside but she couldn't. Inside, it was chaos and confusion everywhere. When the 62 years old shooter was about to shoot again for another victim, his Kalashnikov blocked, making further shots impossible. He got arrested. This thread is an homage to the victims. Not only the one who got shot but also the families who lost a beloved member. I know that forums aren't the best place to post this but I think that such a thing shouldn't remain silent all over the world. Thanks for staying respectful.
In this world we're living in now you can't go ANYWHERE! People are getting shot in pathmart for Christ sake!
Yes it is. I was shocked to see that people could get so mad because of politic. I'm not someone who was extremely happy with the new prime minister but still, killing people for it?
I am sad for Quebec because they tend to get a lot of problems like this!! I have many friends that live there in Montreal!
If my car did not break before leaving for Montreal, I would have been in that very place yesterday when it happened. And yes, Harper is the prime minister of Canada but each provinces has its own prime minister and own government.
I also want to congratulate the good work of the Tactic Squads and other polices for getting the suspect down in a record time.
But I thought they were called premiers, not prime ministers. Unless I missed something while living in Canada.
My wife says they are premiers. Not called prime ministers (she is Canadian, thats why I am confused)
I can't think of something really worthwhile to say about this. Things like ths happen almost everyday, now. Makes me think of sad the world has gotten.
Mayhe in Quebec they are called them, but know in Ontario they are not. She just said that they could call them prime ministers in Quebec.
Makes sense! Lol thanks for the Quebec lesson lol. Ya, in the English part of Canada they are called Premiers. Lol That's why I was confused, cause I didn't think Harper in another election.
