So I've been gone, and lazy, and haven't written. So here is a one-shot... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Staring into that child's eyes, seeing the fear in the brown pigments. It was like looking at myself in a mirror. People getting shot repeatedly, or once if they're lucky enough to get hit in a vital place. People were falling, blood was flying, and what goes up comes down. I looked like a different man. My once gentle face was covered with dirt and blood. My eyes were irritated and had fear and anger. My sanity is hanging by a thread in the back of my head. Cut and bruised, I lifted my arms. Shooting this child's family like it was my sole purpose in life. But it wasn't mine, it was theirs. My team that was sworn to be patriotic and humane. Even those who surrendered, fell down like the brave. They took a child in to be protected, because his actual parents were killed in the battle grounds. My unit kept shooting. We could've at least gave them a chance, a chance to prove their innocence. A chance to be the good people in a place full of corruption. But we shoot them down, like their life is not worth the same as ours. They were the cat in the bag and we were the angry hound bound by a weak leash. And then, the guns stopped, the ringing in my ears commenced, and everything was still. Everything, charred, burned, or shot until total decay. In my eyes, it was the ashes after the fire. And now, the child is crying. Drowning in a puddle of his non-related family's blood. The brutality was horrible, the worst part was, we left him there. To cry over the bones. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I did not detail the place and people much for a reason. Critique please!
Oh my godmother. I LOVE THIS. The emotion, it's amazing. The detail(on the parts that were meant to be detailed), it's fantastic. Incredible writing!!!!
A One-Shot is just when you write it without pre-writing it, right? Oh, and this is good! c: I can't describe how amazing it is.
I can't find the grammatical errors. I shall face-palm myself now. /).• Anyways, one-shot means it's not continued.
Err ok not a grammatical error I guess but the second to last sentence... I dunno it isn't smooth in my mind...
