  1. What is the point?

What is the point of dating and wedding wars?
I have been playing this game for quite some time now and have figured out the point of just about everything. But, the one thing I have never gotten is the point of wedding wars.
Now, to me there are a few different reasons:

    A Terrible Start
When you have a wedding war, you are attacking your wife/husband.  That is not a good start to a relationship. A relationship is built on love . Not beating up eachother. Then, the spouse who wins will ever be able to hold it against the one who lost!

    You Love Your iDevice?
    2. (doesn't apply to everyone) When you marry someone in real life, you actually date them for a year or so (most the time longer) until you even think about proposing . But, it seems like in PimD, people date for a week, figure out the love eachother, then get engaged, in all intense and purposes, to their iDevice  or Android. Kinda weird if you ask me.

    Lack of Knowlesge
    3. A lot of people who date on PimD come to the game just for this purpose. They go on world chat, advertising themselves like McDonalds cheeseburger  hoping to fall in love with another poor desperate soul. And you don't even know that person!
Here is an actual conversation I had with someone on here! I wish I could find the screen shots cause there was sooo much face-wall in it!
"But, Hermes! We are in love!" She said, desperately.
(/)_-) "Have you ever seen what he looks like?"Hermes asked, full of care and concern.
"No, but we have known each other for 2 weeks!" The poor souls exclaimed, full of love and cluelessness.
"And your married?" Hermes asked, with his palm flying at his face with force.
    "Yes!  I love him."
"So," Said Hermes, trying to make sense of a situation, "you have known him for two weeks, never have seen him, and you are married to him."
    "Yes! Isn't it wonderful!"
"How do you know he isn't a 43 year-old fat dude with no hair and a mustache?" (no offense to anyone who read this who is 43 years-old fat dudes with no hair and a mustache)
    "Because I trust him."

... Because you trust him. I left the conversation right there because I passed out from several face-desk attempts.

YOU DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO ON THIS GAME

    Become Who You Despise!
    4. Most of us here are against sexters! They are yucky and pukey! And I feel that wedding wars and such not only attract perverts to this game, but also encourage and endorse sexting. Now, if you want to sit there and make-out with your iDevice, fine by me.... but, please don't let it be known to the entire Pimd community that it is fine in the form of a wedding war.

    Divorce
    5. Doesn't it seem more fitting for a war to be for a divorce, not marriage?  That way you can take out all your sadness on the one you thought you loved . It makes more sense to me!

    Conclusion
These are just a few of the reasons why I, Hermes, do not endorse dating and marriages in PimD. Now, again, this does not apply for everyone. Mostly just the teenagers who think they are mature enough to date, so they go to a game to do it. If you are an adult and are mature enough to wait for the right one, go ahead! But teens (and younger), you have plenty of time left to find love, don't waste it on this game!
I have never been involved in a wedding war on PimD. So, I can back my argument up with consistency that I have never thought it best, and never thought it wise.
I do expect haters and trolls. Being an experienced forummer I have gotten used to it and I won't mind. But, expect to see the picture below a lot!

  4. Bravo

  5. Meh, its a fun excuse to war.

  6. Some of us got "married" to mock the institution that has been bestowed upon us by our predecessors in this "community"

  7. How do you actually get married though? You don't know the other person; you aren't having a wedding ceremony. I think unless you guys know each other in real life, getting married on a game just shows how desperate you are.

  8. I have wedding photos from my wedding... Actually holding my wife's hand. Do you?

  9. I think you are right, but when you were talking about how the (desperate, clueless) girl was saying "they are inlove" you kinda made it bias. Let the girl make her life-threaten mistake.

  10. Pssst.... Hal
*whisper* Thats why I said it doesn't apply to everyone

  11. As many commercials sayMANY one in five relationships now
Start on an online dating site,
But then, that's an online dating site, and I'm
    In a way questioning you...
    Ignore that

  12. How does he not have the right to have
    An opinion and share it?

  13. Lol we made a decision long ago that God (yes, we are religious) intended marriage for life. So, we decided even before we got married that divorce is never an option.

  14. And lol I was talking about PimD, not a dating site. Those people meet in real life before they get married.

  15. Gross religous people. 

  16. Because its fun?

  17. I'm not that religious, but they do help the community in a way. It's not the best to judge by that way.

  18. Thats a good idea Hermes, I'd only do that if I was married with kids.

I don't want divorce to affect my children untill they all graduate college
