I have no idea how my title is conected to my story .-. -Prologue- Thump. Thump. Thump. The sound of my heartbeat was so loud that anyone 50 miles away could probably have heard it. No idea what's happening? Let me tell you. Do you know the scene in the movie where the school's loser is being humiliated by the most popular girl in the school? I was feeling exactly like the loser in the movie. I pushed up my thick glasses and blinked the tears building up in my eyes away. I could feel my cheeks burning furiously. In the midst of the crowd I saw him, standing tall and proud like he owned the place and smirking at my public humiliation. Melanie sneered and wrinkled her nose at me, "Did you think he would actually like you? I mean, you?" She laughed. "Someone's delusional." She sung. She played the voice recording again. I squeezed my eyes shut. "I-I have liked you since young." My voice whispered from Melanie's phone. I inhaled sharply as James spoke up from his place, his voice taunting and amused. "Who do you think you are? Lauuren." He dragged out my name, snickering. Rage boiled up from my stomach. "I hate you. All of you." I spat. I ran out of the cafeteria, and out of school leaving behind everyone's amused glances and mocking looks. I never thought that that day was the last day that I would be stepping foot into that school.
The Missing Rose Part 2 --- "Umm...okay..." I mumbled uncertainty, looking at my mother. She huffs and put her hands on her hips, then frowns and studies me closely. What now? "I don't see why you turned out like this, where's your sense of style? You are attractive, since you have my genes." Mum mutters. "That's it! We're giving you a makeover!" Then she claps her hands happily like a toddler. Considering the fact that she just told me she was getting married with some guy I had never met and I was getting shipped off to boarding school with my new step-sister, she does really have a short attention span. At least I won't be seeing my old school anymore... But sometimes I still wonder... who was the adult here?
The Missing Rose Part 3 - 2 years later - "Did you see the hot new exchange student?" Leigh, my step-sister and roommate squeals as she plops herself down onto my bed. I looked up from painting my nails, "Oh?" I smile. "Yes!!! He's just soo-," she sighs before continuing. "Dark brown hair, perfect tan, deep voice, killer body, he's perfect." She smiles contentedly. "I call dibs on him." I squeal. "Hey! You've never even met him!" Leigh pouts. "Come on," I grin, "Just introduce him to me now." Leigh laughs, all her previous anger dissapeared in an instant. She pulls me out of the room to meet the new transfer student with a bounce in her step. "Hey James. This is my sister Anne." Leigh grins. James turns around and my breath catches in my throat. All my previous excitement and anticipation disappeared entirely. James. Him. From two years ago. "Hey." He smiles at me. He doesn't remember me? "You." I snarl. He blinks, puzzled. "Um, what?" I stomp off, tears streaming down my face with each step. Oh, no. --- A/N So bascially Anne had the makeover her Mum gave her and turned out beautiful, and now she's no longer a nerd and much more confident. And James is the guy that humiliated her in front of the whole school two years ago, I will upload what happened behind the recording tomorrow, or later, or another day. And I actually making sense? .-. I have a feeling that my author's note was even longer than the chapter itself.
The Missing Rose Part 4 I'm screwed. That's the only thought that resonates through my mind once I slam my door shut and face-plant myself onto the bed. Everything that I earned the past two years...my reputation, status, image...it will all be gone. Let me repeat this again, I'm screwed. Why? Why was I so gullible? - 2 years ago - Love confession - I walked down the hall, my sneakers squeaking quietly down the empty hallway. I pushed up my black rimmed glasses further up my nose as I glanced at my watch. I was late for Biology. Suddenly a hand shot out and pulled me into a dark room..I yelped out in shock and as a results of my un-gracefulness, I managed to land butt-down. On the floor. Just great. "Lauren." A voice whispered. "W-who's that?" I trembled, my heart threatening to jump out. "James." Oh, my crush. WAIT! JAMES, MY CRUSH?! "What are you doing here?" My voice even shaker then before. "I've liked you for years, do you like me?" "Wha-?" A blush splashed onto my face. "Do you like me?" With tremblings hands, I answered. "Y-yes. I've liked you since young." He pushed open the door and got up, before he left, he smirked. "Good. Good bye." --- I was stupid. And now, if James is smart enough, he will probably catch on and spread the gossip. Well, one of the 'it' girls being an ex-nerd. That is big news isn't it?
Your chapters are pretty short. The time skip didn't make sense to me either. Step sister? When? How did she feel about the makeover? What was it like? Description, chicka. Description.
