After a few tries, watercolor will get easier. I made the painting above when I was about 9. Experiment, and make sure you stir the water. Painting at a slight angle towards yourself also helps. Keep a puddle at the bottom. When you finish painting make sure you pick up any extra paint with a dry brush.
Thanks for the tips!! I'll apply them next time ^_^ I'm glad people in forum can be nice and helpful unlike the haters I've come across, and the drawing is cute for a nine year old to have drawn it, I guess I need to practice this is only my 2-3 painting so meh ^_^'
Oh yeah... Don't paint it all at once. Paint around a 3 inch square then let it dry. If you want to paint continuously, use a hair dryer, and blow dry the area for a minute. Be careful with the hair dryer though. If you move it around to fast, the paint will move with it. And leave a streak of paint behind. I'm kinda addicted to art... So yeah.
Or u can try the watercolor pencils, since you're into sketching it may be easier for you and look cooler
Both paintings look good. And there's water colour pencils?! Ooh! I like sketching and I had no idea that those existed!
