I based this story off a personal question of mine... It will probably suck so you may read it, but you may not like it. Janet woke up, a light smile on her face, she turned to her husband to murmur a good morning, but was surprised to see him gone. She stood up, frowning slightly, put on a robe and stepped out of the room, heading downstairs. There was no sign of life in the kitchen either, so she got to work making herself breakfast. After a hearty meal of bacon, eggs and toast, Janet sighed with pleasure, getting dressed to go to her job, as a teacher at a ballet studio. She left her house, getting into her very nice car, and heading off, stopping to pick up gas. Once Janet had filled up, she went inside to pay, but no one was at the till. So, she left the money on the counter, her mind trying to comprehend what was going on. She hopped back into her car and drove off towards her studio. Janet stopped, however, halfway there, as there was a car on the side of the road. She went to help, knocking on the windows, peeking inside, but there was no sign of life... It looked as though they had just disappeared in the middle of driving. Janet was thoroughly freaked out by now, and she got back in her car and drove home, noticing other cars stopped in the middle of driving as well. Each one had no molecule of life in it, and Janet finally got home. "This... this is all a bad dream... I'll wake up and the world will be filled with people again" she said to herself on a shaky voice. "Excuse me," a child's voice rang out, high pitched and eerie in the silence, "but do you have something I could eat?" Janet turned towards the source of the noise, and what she saw there caused her to let out a bloodcurdling scream, the last noise ever made by Janet, who the world could simply not figure out why she had vanished into thin air.
I just wanted to write an ending to one of my personal questions... What would you do if everyone else in the world vanished without your knowledge? Honestly it seems like that sometimes, I look around and nobody is there
