I don't read twilight and I actually found a book for people who dont read or like twilight! It's good, called The Reformed Vampire Support Group. And to my knowledge Dracula type vamps can also do hypnosis stuff too.
The dracula story was based on prince vlad tepes (vlad the impaler). He once ate a meal under the dying bodies of his defeated enemies and had a fondness for killing people by sticking blunted stakes up their bottoms. He wasn't a 'vampire' although he loved blood. I think bram stoker (who wrote Dracula) made that link. Granted, he wasn't the most peaceful of chaps but that's where the vampire legend came from in the first place. Bram stoker would be turning in his grave at the notion of sparkly vegetarian vampires. There was a veggie vampire once before. Look up 'count duckula'
