Oh. My. GOODNESS, what a terrific day! That was sarcasm, by the way Let's just say that there are some places in the US that are...erm...I don't know a word for it. You'll see later. So, I got off my European cruise (yes, I'm so elite) and got on the shuttle bus to the airport. This is what it looked like: No, but seriously, this airport in Venice was a bit too small for thousands of people getting off cruise ships. Thank the lord I had Sky Priority, so I got to skip a big line to check my bags So, I went through security and waited with my friends for our flight to the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. This flight was 9 hours long. I watched 4 movies. My eyes are burning out of my skull. But it was worth seeing The Hangover 1 and 2 Eh, but I didn't really care for the second one. Too much repetitiveness of the first. I didn't know repetitiveness was a word So, we finally landed at JFK 9 hours later. BOY DO I FREAKING LOVE THIS AIRPORT. So we get out and find this humongous line trying to go downstairs for the people to check your passports and stuff. Then a person comes on the loudspeaker and says... "We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we cannot let anybody downstairs. It is too congested." This is how I reacted: But luckily, we had a "connection flight", which means another flight back to where I live, so we got to skip a large line. And then I got downstairs and saw the line to check passports. Keep in mind, we had just come from a 9 hour flight that none of us could sleep on. Oh, and remember, there's a time change. A 6 hour difference in Venice and New York. So, it felt like almost 11:00pm to me, when it was only 5:00pm. Anyways, we finally got through that line because they called 7:00 flights, got our suitcases, put them down where we were told to, and went through security. After all of that, we got to our flight just in time for boarding. The flight was pretty uncomfortable, but I actually slept through most of it. So we got back to Florida and went to baggage claim. We had 7 suitcases that we checked in to JFK to fly to Florida. Only 2 of them made it through. We went to the Baggage Service people, and guess what they said? "Oh, we have two marked that they made it here, one still in JFK, and four still in Venice." Here's my face: So JFK didn't even check our luggage in. So we have to wait to get all of our clothes, toothbrushes, etc. until tomorrow. Moral of the story: Airports suck. Lol. But this thread was just to tell you that I'm BACK from my vacation in Europe Bye bye. YOLO- You obviously love Oreos.
