CyberBullying

  1. I have seen many threads about this but I don't think anyone got the point. I am just going to inform you on what CyberBullying has done.

In my area kids and teenagers are taking their own lives because of what has been happening online. I know at least 100 kids took their lives because of it. I have seen people depressed because of it. I know you may just say it's just a game or online no one cares. Obviously many people do. No matter if it's in real life or online.
Please just realize what you are saying can effect someone. If you were in their situation you would get mad or sad because it's hurtful.

Calling people names online like slut or saying their probably desperate and fat and lonely cause they play a game. Well a lot of people play games, so are they fat and desperate? Maybe but probably not.

I know a kid who was on a app just like this one and got depressed because stuff was said on his wall or whatever. Even if you say it's just a game I don't care keep your shit to yourself. He also did nothing was just said to him because the other person was mad.

This maybe not the best thread but I just want everyone to realize It can happen to anyone, so if you have nothing good to say don't say it.

    Thanks for reading

  2. Ahem, you knew* 100 (supposed) kids that took their life.
    Past tense 

  3. Cyber bullying is wrong... But some people mistake trolls for cyberbullies. Some people on this game are too soft and should rethink playing until they are older or more mature.
As well as you didn't point this out, but some people complain about how farming and hiring tuts are sometimes apart of cyber bullying..... Let's get this straight. If I farmed someone, that is NOT being a bully. It is apart of the game. If I hire one of your tuts, it is NOT bullying. It's apart of the game.

Some kids on this game really need to grow up. It's like they are trying to step into an adult world and still be treated like kids.

Kids: don't be in such a hurry to grow up.... Its not as great as you think. And don't be upset when you are treated like an adult in a game which recommends you being 17 . You will be treated like an adult. So, don't go crying about cyber bully's.

  4. 100 kids? That's a large number. A very rounded one too.Data source please

  5. Ok I see you said more than 100. Still not buying it without a data source. I used to work with death data and suicide was always one of the small rates.

  6. Casper, it is clearly a load of hot air trying to scare noobs from growing up to troll useless forumers 

  7. Which is why I want a data source 

  8. I see these numbers plucked out of people's backsides regularly to make a problem look huge. Know of that many? Personally? No way. It may be an issue but I've said a million times don't exaggerate 

  9. That's what I thought but I figured some of them may be from a word-of-mouth.

Cyberbullying is a major issue, yes it is. But some people are dang smart enough to know better than to bully people who didn't do anything.

But some people do DO something. And that's just asking for a fight.

But what really is the solution? I, for one, think that the people playing should know what game they are playing.

I understand if it's an social app where everyone has their own, personal secure profile, but a game like this? Know that people don't know you personally here, and that they may not care.

We don't know who are behind these players, and they just might not care. So before it goes too far, just delete it.

Don't play the game if you can't take the heat. q

  10. Well said Hermes 

  11. There's a big difference between trolling and cyber bullying... I gotta say most people on forums think of themselves as trolls but they aren't even close to it... When you call someone ugly or fat you're being a bully, when you joke around because of a silence thread that was made (to a certain extent) its trolling, bullying isn't right, in real life or behind a screen... Most people here act tough behind a Idevice, maybe because they are "trolled" in real life... The question is where to draw the line? Just keep it funny, don't try to impress anyone when trolling, because my point of view is that some people go over the line just because they want to impress other people.... It's ok to joke around, but don't use sick humor, the things that aren't ok in real life are not ok here too...

I agree with what was said before, this is a game recommended to 17 and older, but we all know people younger than that that play this game, some are more mature than 40 years old, others aren't... I have a 14 year old daughter, I don't allow her to play this game or any other online not because I don't think she's not mature enough, but because I think real life is already hard enough no need to had up online drama

  12. If it is a game for 17 or older, the younger kids need to understand that they will be treated like they are 17 or older, whether they are kids or not. If they cannot take the heat, don't play.
Normally younger kids are more sensitive anyway and havnt learned to separate this game from real life.

  13. Man, I don't even talk to 100 kids.. Much less than be at 100 kids' funerals. I'm sorry for your loss, you must be extremely emotionally torn.

I don't see how you play this game at all. Your area is full of emotion. You should spend time with your family and friends more and less PIMD, because who knows who might be next? There might be things they aren't telling you.

  14. Hermes is right. 

  15. Isnt suicide a high death rate, Casper?? I think it was in health class when I did it, but I had to do a speech on depression/suicide nd in almost all pages it said suicide was one of the highest like reasons of death.... ?

  16. Nope. Suicide is way down the list.

  17. Stuff like heart disease and cancers are high. Suicide figures tend to be really small. That's across all ages too. To know 100 people who had committed suicide because of suicide is just wow

  18. *because of cyberbullying. Deaths are also usually reported in rates, not numbers and when you look at the rates, it's small.

  19. Heart disease cancer car crashes >.> Right? I think stroke is up there too

  20. Well car crashes wouldn't be that high I presume. .-. But not low.
