I'm not lazy! Well, maybe a little... I have been working on another story and I have had lots of exams. I HAVE EXCUSES!! but I'm also lazy.
I jumped away from Lucas like he was on fire. "well well well... What do we have here? Lucas I thought you said you were looking around the house. Hello Stephanie." Arthur smiled, but there was no emotion showing in his face. What mood was he trying to conceal? Was he upset to find me and Lucas in each others arms? Or angry that Lucas lied? "Hi..." I said weakly. What should I say? What should I do? I was too tired and in too much pain to think, so I just pushed past him, limped up the stairs and went to my old bedroom, leaving Lucas and Arthur behind. I collapsed onto the bed, not even bothering to greet Cassandra and my sister. I woke up after what had just felt like a few hours. My foot felt much better than it did last night. It must have just been bruised badly. But how could it have healed so quickly? The cut on my arm was now a scab, and it was slowly forming into yet another scar. I looked at the foot of my bed, and saw someone sitting there, looking at me with eyes filled with concern, but no emotion whatsoever on their face. "Oh, you're finally awake. You've been out cold for a few days. You must have been really tired." "Hello Arthur. Yes, I was extremely tired... What exactly happened?" "well you were in the forest late at night, and we had all agreed to just wait for you but Lucas sneaked out. A couple of hours later you came back and..." I looked up to see Lucas standing in the doorway. He stayed there, keeping his eyes on me. "Oh. It's him." Arthur spat. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. He got up and walked out, glaring at Lucas maliciously. Once Arthur left, Lucas came and stood next to the bed. He stayed there for a moment, studying me. I studied him back, taking in every detail of his face. "How are you feeling?" "Much better. But I feel like I've forgotten something..." Then it hit me. My bag! I must have dropped it in the forest. Oh well, no matter. I would retrieve it later. He hugged me gently, but I still winced from the pain. I must've cracked a couple of ribs too. I forced a smile onto my face before he let go. Abigail and Cassandra walked in and greeted me. I would have given them a hug too, but it caused me too much pain so I lied back down before anyone else could embrace me. After about an hour of conversation and explaining what happened, they left, leaving me and Lucas again. I got out of bed. I could feel bandages around my ribs, and there was a fresh dressing on my arm. "where are you going?" Lucas asked. I didn't reply. Instead, I pulled on my jacket and my boots and set off to find my bag. I was going into the forest. Again. Let's hope this time I don't get killed...
