All day, every day, I see people say they need something. But when do you see them say they want something. One classic example we see in campus is, " I need to be vollied/ hired", " I need a role play club" or if they need a partner in a relationship even though they more than likely do not NEED those things. When I was a child my dad let me know very early, something you need is something you cannot live without, something you want is something that will not determine you living or dying. ( paraphrase) To me, needs are now stuff that are necessary for survival, as well as obsticles to get what I, or anyone else wants And wanting something is the desire to have something. With this set straight... is what you NEED really a necessity? or is it actually a want? I bet half the time people will realize what they need is actually a want. As for those who already know the difference... thank you for actually using these words correctly. I just wanted to post this... so hopefully a few people read this and learn the difference. It bothers me seeing people saying something that want by saying they need it.
Needs.... e.e hmmm... I need to think about this but I don't want to .-. Why? Because everything is complicated, even for needs and wants >.> I don't even know what I'm talking about... Do I need to? I sure as hell don't want to. :3
