Adam's POV It was a cold day, and I was walking around the local shopping mall. I was alone, well, alone as in not accompanied. It was the day before Christmas Eve, and the mall was packed. For my small town of 4,000 people, roughly, it was a lot of people. I think 80% of the population was here. People were going crazy, yelling, throwing things. It seemed like it was just a little crazier than every other year on this day. But something was wrong, I just didn't know what, and wished I did. The smooth tile of the floors clacked as my black sneakers stepped across them. I was walking along, my black, leather jacket was growing heavy. My black hair was wet from the snow that had been falling on it. My slim, but chiseled face was cold. I had no covering for my face, and my big lips were chapped. It felt terrible outside, but somehow the warmth of the heated building was easing me out of my uncomfortable state. As I walked along, the small stores seemed bare. As if the people suddenly disappeared, as if I was the only one there. Then I started coming back to reality, as my troubled mind seemed to go in circles. I started seeing the people again, but this time they were looking sick. All of them coughing. My brown eyes could only perceive so much, but at the same time I felt as if I saw everything. People were starting to slump up against corners, and cough more and more. Their eyes turning a faint grey, they looked as if they weren't themselves. Maybe if I would've thought more of it, I would've known what was wrong, but I pressed on ignoring them. I walked into a small store, known as Dark Trade. It was a new store that opened up, and had a very interesting name. At first glance, you would think it was just like any other gothic clothing store. But, looks are deceiving. It was in fact not, it sold many things. From clothes to knives, probably even drugs if you asked the right people. The fact was I needed some new jeans, my blue jeans were fading into grey. Along with all my other jeans. I purchased some more jeans, for a price I'd rather not discuss. So damn expensive. As I pressed on, I noticed someone laying down, unconscious.. The girl laying there looked dead, but was obviously breathing faintly. It was probably a virus going around, or so I thought. I walked until I saw one of the couches in the middle of the hall and sat down. Looking at the chaos of this day, but as I said before, something was different. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A story I'm doing with another author named Amanda. I hope you all like it, it's a horror story. Survival horror. You'll see what about soon enough.
Amanda's POV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I jogged through the mall passing the stores. I saw people leaning over coughing, some were slumped on the ground like an unwanted bag. I walked into Aeropostale and sighed. The clerk looked as though he was going to keel over dead. "Must be a bad flu" I thought. I wiped my dirty blonde hair from my face and let out a deep breath. My thin lips were cold and my cheeks felt like ice. I picked out some new black skinny jeans and gave them to the clerk. I cover my nose and mouth as he coughed. I payed the amount he asked and walked out my Black converse clicking on the floor tiles. I looked around and saw a young girl on the ground... Her eyes were Gray and her skin looked like ash. I shivered and passed by her with a cold feeling of dread. ---------------- Sorry people if it isn't as amazing as Adams... I'm actually sick today so yeah.
Adam's POV Maybe it was my imagination, or maybe my psychosis finally kicking in, but people were dropping to the ground like dominos just knocked over. It was starting to become an epidemic. I was scared at this point, and my face probably had a stupid expression on it from my never-ending curiosity plundering my mind. Were they dead or just unconscious? "I gotta be dreaming..." I muttered to myself as I walked along the wide aisle of the mall. I turned my head to look behind me, still walking. I bumped into a girl, she had dirty blonde hair, thin lips, and her cheeks looked cold. She looked as freaked out as I was. "I apologize." I started. "I'm just really...confused about what is going on around here." Just as I finished I turned around to see the once unconscious girl getting up. She had a grey shirt on with blood trickling down onto it from her mouth. And black pants that were heavily wrinkled. She didn't even look alive enough to determine her own actions, and I stood and stared into her grey eyes. She tried lunging at someone, but the man dodged out of the way just in time. She landed on the ground with a hard thud, and I could see her coughing up a black substance. What intrigued me was a spider like thing she coughed up. It was about two feet wide, and two feet tall. It basically tore open her whole mouth and throat getting out. Through the chaos of everyone screaming, I planned a safe route. There was a store near by, just about to lock up. That was my opportunity. "Come on!" I said in urgency, and pulled the girls arm. With my strong arms I slid her under the almost closed store, and slid myself under the gate before the clerk could react. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To your surprise, it's not zombies. It's actually a parasitic thing. Kind of like zombies, but much harder to deal with.
Every character in sign up will probably make it in. Rather they are killed or not is up to me and Amanda. Your character might haft to be the provocative one of the story.
Amanda had the idea of coming up with something different. I had the idea of parasites. She had the environment part. And blah blah blah. Haha Point is, we both pitched in, and hope to make a great story for you all.
