Story time...enjoy. It's all true and it happened today. I had an interesting and somewhat scary day today as I snuck into my old high school that I graduated from last year. I went to visit one of my past math teachers to talk about math (I'm a math major). I wasn't supposed to be at the school and if I was found, I'd be fined. I couldn't get a pass if I wanted to because they don't want college students on the campus. I wasn't scared or nervous at all about this because I've done this many times without any problems at all. But this time, something totally unexpected happened. I walked into my math teacher's room with my college friend who also had her as a teacher in the past. We talked for about 5 minutes with the math teacher and then grabbed some food (there was a party today with food in the class) and my friend and I sat down. There was a group of desks all together that was about two-thirds filled from the left. My friend and I sat down at the right end, away from the kids and just talked to each other as we ate since we didn't know the kids. It was then that the atmosphere changed entirely. Two assistant principles walked in the room. Everyone in the class was relaxing because they just came to grab food. The only problem was that my friend and I were not supposed to be in the room and had no idea that one of the assistant principals would come in the room since we have never had this happen during our 4 years at the school. The teacher would not be able to protect me if the assistant principal tried to give me a citation because I clearly did not have a pass and am not a high school student. The additional problem is that both the assistant principals knew my parents well and also have talked to me many times so the chance of the recognizing me was fair and I can tell you that neither are chill (and they knew I graduated). Anyways, as soon as they entered the room, my friend and I moved over and sat right next to the kids in an attempt to blend in or appear more like a high school student. We didn't know any of the kids but had to keep talking to them so that we didn't look like an outcast. I essentially just started talking about the randomest things but all were high school related. I was also able to bend my head forward and align by head with the girl's head to my left to where I was less visible to the two assistant principles. The situation became increasingly problematic as both assistant principles then went over and coincidentally sat right next to me and my friend. I knew at this point that we have to accept the fact that they have seen us and can only do our best in maintaining relaxation and hoping that they don't recognize us as the non-high-school students that we were which is tough given that both of them knew us and that we graduated. I could tell that they both were contemplating if we were high school students or the people that they thought we were that already graduated. I cannot arouse more suspicion and therefore running from the situation wouldn't work so it was time for some reverse psychology. I thought about what the assistant principals must be thinking and if I am indeed a college student who wasn't supposed to be there, I'd avoid confrontation at all costs with faculty. It was then that I decided to engage in a conversation with both of the assistant principals to try to decrease suspicion by trying to get them to think that I'm not trying to avoid faculty and am therefore innocent. I said that their food looked great and asked how they have enjoyed their job working here at the high school. After a long enough time with trying to fight off both assistant principals and get them to think we were not the people they thought we were, they eventually left after 35 minutes and we were safe...we thought. My friend and I just resumed talking to each other since we had to stay in the room until 5th period (20 more minutes) to go visit another important teacher. It was with 15 minutes left that the principal walked in. He knew both of us and our parents and the chance of him recognizing us was also high. My friend and I couldn't run so we chilled and did the same tactic. Coincidentally, he decided also to sit right next to me and my friend. We wanted to laugh at how unfortunate we were that all of the faculty members, out of all the kids in the room, chose to sit next to us. This was no time for any let up in mental concentration. My friend engaged in conversation with the kids around him while I chose to engage in a conversation with the principal in an attempt to use reverse psychology again. I held him off for about 15 mins by talking to him and he had no idea that we didn't belong there because of the way that I confidentially approached and started a conversation with him. After these 15 mins of conversation, the bell rang and we were able to go to the next class/teacher we wanted to talk to and were safe at last.
This was written for entertainment as it was a dangerous situation with consequences of high stakes. It was of course entirely real and none of it was made up.
It was also indeed presented in a fashion resembling that of a book as you brought up. I hope you guys enjoyed.
Oh, oh, that's cool. Once upon a time I graduated highschool, left the town, and went to college. I never hung out with the little kids again. The end.
Lol. Teachers were the reason I attended, not kids. Although, there were a few kids I saw on the side that were graduating and are going to attend my school that I shared a few words with.
