It's really agreeable... See, I'm trying to look at it from a completely unbiased point of view, but it's hard because I left my brain in the frying pan too long and it fried, short circuited, and exploded. Go brains. But...it's really reasonable. But I also think the third silence should be...different, according to the offense. I don't quite know how yet. The thing thats next to my brain is telling me that, but not why. The money idea is great! Five bucks isn't too too bad unless you have a broke ass, and the devs would make a lot of people happy. BUT, if they get silenced a hella lotta times, then perhaps they should be required to endure their silence for a longer period of time? I dont know. Like I said: brain = fried and gone.
The money idea is terrible. The ToU is there for a reason. There's no point in enforcing it if you can be overruled for a measly 5 dollars.
Sounds good but I don't agreeing with paying to be un-silenced. There are some people who won't mind paying and will do it over and over again.
But there is a reason. ): ATA needs money to fund updates for this game and to keep it running. Five dollars for every five (to name a number) silences would build up... It'd get them a lot of money and it's smart. Money wise.
.-. I don't like the "not-silenceable" thing that blockey mentioned. If you're perm silenced, $5, silenced again, $5, it'll give the devs money to get some good updates. Ethan12345678901234567890™
Guy's you're making it a big deal out of this it's $4.99 not $5.00. Way to blow it out of proprotion.
And not everywhere has sales tax, so you can't really include tax on the purchase because that depends on where you live.
I think that silenced should be worked off. Like tickets on your record... Because the a perma is dumb especially if u have been playing from the start like myself
Well the money thing wouldn't work because a silence is taken in consideration by the mod. So an unfair silence for 4.99 would make alot of players quit
.-. Well, let's say a trillionaire desides to play pimd. He'll just break ToU and give money to his buds, so they'll have an invinceabillity slip.
I think the larger picture is being overlooked, players have been loosing interest Im PimD thus ATA loosing real money. Mabey instead of looking for ways to recoup that money with less desirable ways that leave players questioning the intentions of PimD they should try and make the game engaging again. You know be creative, not act like Robin Hood when all you want is to take money with a flimsy excuse of promising upgrades to make this game more like KaW or saying it will punish the violators more. That's just my .02 cents before it will cost me $4.99.
We make no money. We have no incentive to silence a person unfairly just to make ATA a buck. The buy-back would benefit the player and ATA. Not us.
