I made my first 20 bil by the 20 bil job  and after I spent it (right away)

I made it back through farming 

 

I bought two Tier5 people 

 

I invested mine in tutors and hiring underpriced tutors to make more money.

 

It's sad that it took me almost a month to complete that last job (Plank Power) and it took me only seconds to spend it on two tier 5 crews. 

20b really is not a lot when it comes to buying T5s. Work hard guys! Let's see if we can LCBC before tier 6 dorm mates are released! 

I bought 1 t5. I spent the other 10 bil on tutors, partly volleying tutors and partly buying more tutors.

I'd say a healthy mix of both is the best option. 

I guess it really depends on the player's style of playing the game. For me, I wasn't too concerned about tutor's then. Just wanted my stats up to get more plunder. That was why I got two T5s. 

Right now, the only reason I hire tutors is to keep my tutor chat noisy and lively and fun! I have fantastic noisy tutors! Love them all to bits!!! I don't have much tutors but I adore them all equally! 

It's true, I guess, that it depends on your style of playing. My best advice...
Do whatever makes you happiest. If you get it and decide you would be really happy upgrading, then upgrade!
