The Doctor was obviously worried. Fletch noticed this because the Doctor was always staring off into space. "What's wrong, Doc?" asked Fletch. "Nothing." "Oh come on, I know that a nothing is always something. Is it Muller? Or is it the fact that you were overpowered by someone for once?" "A bit of both, actually. I've only actually known Muller for a day. Less than that, actually. And now he's dead. Because of-" "You found him in World War Friggin 1!!! He'd have died anyway! Its the same for us. I suppose demons can possess humans, but they can't come out of possession to possess something else unless they let go of their current possession. So it has to be a new species." Let's go for the Tower already." the Doctor slumped and started walking slowly, more like drifting in depression. Fletcher shook his head, and kept on walking... Darquesse ran as fast as she could, sticking to the shadows. It was not in her nature to get caught in the sun. Not until she had to actually fight. And, seeing as she was a master assassin, a one-on-one conflict was not very common. She was possibly the greatest assassin in existence. Except maybe the Boss himself. But the Boss preferred one-on-one fights. He thought that it was cowardice if the victim wasn't facing the killer. But he never told Darquesse how he wanted her to kill, he usually just wanted people dead. Usually. If he wanted to, he would kill people himself, making sure that they suffered as they should. Darquesse once again focused on the job. She was at the spot where Excalibur was extracted. She saw all the evidence and by now pieced together the whole scene. She stood up abruptly, as she heard footsteps around the corner. Two men walked into the aisle, saw it was empty, and pulled out cigarettes, and started smoking. Darquesse ran on to the tower, where she figured the Doctor and Fletcher would go.
