  1. As I padded through the forest, the frost covered grass crunching under my paws, as the sun continued to rise the rays caused the morning dew to shimmer on my golden brown coat. I continued along the perimeter of my pack's territory my two friends Collin and Brianna padding on each side of my flanks. I yawned and stopped letting Collin renew the scent markers every few minutes, I turned my head catching the small scent of rabbit. I turned and looked at Brianna given her permission to hunt, she bowed her head before bounding off after the scent her grey fur shimmering in the sunlight. I was alpha believe it or not, though right now I wished that I wasn't because I wouldn't have to marry the one person I could not stand. I gave an uneasy growl causing Collin to turn his head toward me and give me a questioning look, I shook my head and continued to walk along the perimeter.

  2. As we finished up walking along the perimeter and renewing scent markers, though I stopped after a few moments a new scent had caught my attention. It smelled like a human, why would a human be in the firest at this time of day? I decided to investigate the strange scent stopping only when I heard the familiar growl of a grizzly, I crept closer watching the boy with the ebony hair scoot back fearful of the grizzly. When the grizzly stood up on all fours was when I decided to lunge, it was stupid I know. Why should I waste my time and possibly my life on something as low as a human? Though something in me propelled me to keep going and to lunge for the grizzly's throat and causing it to fall back landing on it's back, I turned my head long enough to send the boy a thought,'Go get out of here now.' The boy looked stunned and only sat there frozen as the grizzly regained it's footing and shook it's massive head throwing me into a tree before charging toward the boy. I ran in front of the boy blocking it's path from the grizzly, I glanced back again and gave a snarling growl baring my teeth at him,'Go now before I let the grizzly eat you'. The boy nodded and got up slipping on the mud as he ran, I lifted my head and howled calling for Brianna and Collin.
