Chapter 9 - A Blooming Friendship (Pt. 2) When I arrived home at night, I was so tired. I decided to take a steamy hot shower and head to bed. As I put my phone to charge, I recieved a text: -FROM: TYSON *Hey Belle! Had a great time tonight and I hope this can become a regular thing Maybe I can pick you up tomorrow after your softball practice?* My heart was fluttering. I smiled as I texted him back. *I had fun too! And yeah, it's a date <3* He replied with a "Goodnight <3" text that left me to drift off to sleep happily. The next morning at school, I approached my locker and opened it. A folded piece of paper came floating out to the ground. The way it was folded made me automatically realize whom it was from. The all-caps handwriting confirmed my thought. Christian. It read: DEAR ANA, DO YOU WANNA HANG OUT AFTER SCHOOL? I MISS YOU AND I KNOW WE HAVENT REALLY HUNG OUT LATELY BUT LET ME MAKE IT UP TO YOU! FROM, C I quickly scribbled a reply: Sorry, I have plans. Maybe a raincheck.. I slipped the note back into his locker as I scurried past it and headed into my Calc class. After finding a seat in the fourth row, I just sat back in my chair and sighed. Three hours until I see Tyson. A smile emerged on my face and I started taking notes for today's math lesson.

Chapter 10 - What Goes Around, Comes Around....And Hurts. When the coach dismissed us, I made my way into the cool, air-conditioned building. As I walked down to my locker, I saw Christian was there leaning against it waiting. *Great.* He looked up and saw me, then smiled. I just smiled slightly and pointed at my locker. "Excuse me", I said slightly impatient. "Hey Ana, been waiting for you to get out of practice! I was thinking maybe we could go to the fair on Sunday?", suggested Christian with an irresistable smile. *Stay focused*, I thought to myself. "Aren't you going with your girlfriend?" "We...broke up", said Christian as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Well, I don't know what Tyson has planned for that day but I'll text you", I told him then got my backpack out of my locker and hurried down the hallway. Christian went after me, calling my name. Once outside, I spotted Tyson and smiled. He waved over at me and grinned. *He is so cute*, I thought as I smiled to myself. Christian caught up to me and grabbed my arm gently. "Ana, who's Tyson? And who's that guy?", questioned Chris in between catching his breath. Pointing at Tyson, I said, "He's Tyson, and the guy I'm dating." Christian narrowed his eyes slightly at him, then looked at me with a slight hurt in his beautiful, blue eyes. I just tried not to look or I'd probably hug him. *I have to be strong..* I hopped into Tyson's car and kind of waved to Christian. He slightly waved back and stood there watching us go. I kept looking at him until he was just a mere blur in the distance.
