"I was captured here.." I answered him as if here completely stupid.

"I'm sorry you had to endure this.. The bath water is ready.." He lazinly offered, and glanced at me.

"I really should go.." I was to prided to take pity from a Nazi..

"Please," He grabbed my arm, " Stay and recover." He smiled tenderly and led me to his wash room.

I took off my measly clothes and dipped slowly into the water. I thought about slipping under, disappearing into the clear water, solving every problem, but something tugged at my heart. It spoke to me, saying "stay alive".

I thought of Issac, his blue eyes and blonde hair.. His innocence and bravery.

It was agony knowing that I had killed him. It was my fault..

" I have you some clothes... My wife is similar to your size.." He awkwardly said as he craked open the door..

I was unabashed, yet uncomfortable by 'my' new outfit. I slipped it over my naked body, and planned to leave promptly after I thanked him. Of course he wouldn't have that.

"Please stay and rest. I have my bed upstairs, and a spare one if you like. I cannot allow you to go out there, people are still hostile!" He looked at me closely and I pondered about how similar he acted to Issac, who always tried to persuade me with reason.

"Thank you, but-" I tried to interject, but he grabbed my hand and led me to a bed.

"My wife and I will sleep in the hay bed. I wish you a good rest." He began to leave me, but I stopped him.

    "This Is your bed? I-"

"Please. It's comfortable. Better than the hay bed." He pushed me into the room and gathered up a few items, and stepped towards the door.

"I never got your name?" I smiled at him.

"I never got yours either.." He looked at me expextedly.

"Kira..." I spoke quietly. It was the first time I had spoken my own name since I recieved the number at the concentration camp.

I noticed that he looked at me in utter and complete shock when I spoke my name, but soon covered it with a smile.

"And what is your name, Sir?" I raised my voice from a whisper.

He clears his throat, and a tear seems to appear in his right eye for a moment. "It's S-Stern-hiet." He stuttered in the middle of his name..

    "Sternhiet.?" I ask.

He glanced deeply into my eyes and left quickly as he could. "Issac Sternheit.

    "Sternhiet?" I asked.

He smiled at me nervously and spoke, " Issac Sternhiet." Issac glanced at me and quickly left the room.

"Issac.." I let the word escape my lips slowly, but my heart went awry- as I listened to it's rapid beating, I saw his face.

'I'll be here as long as you want me to be' But he wasn't. He was dead. Dead. And ironically, I had stumbled upon a man who shared his name. Issac.

Was it his eyes or his deep stares that captivated my dreams every night? Was it his soothing voice I heard in the silence that kept me alive at that awful camp? He was there, just locked away in my mind.

I fell asleep still pondering about Issac helplessly dreaming of his eyes, his arms, holding me.

    --

"KIRA!" He screamed for me desperarely, pushing through the crowd of Nazi soldiers around me.

"ISSAC!!!!" I jumped for him but I couldn't reach him- he was too far away.

I saw him then, on his knees, in the suicide position. The Nazi raised his gun and counted down.

    Three. Two. One.

I screamed and was engulfed in flames as Issac fell.

The last thing I saw was the number on my wrist.

"Wake up!" The beautiful woman sat in front if me, glancing down on me with a young smile. Her hair was also blonde, and she looked about 20.

"Uhhmnn.?" I swiped out my eyes and they focused on her. Her green eyes bore into mine.

"You must have had a dream honey. Are you alright?" She smiled at me.

"Mhmm... Who are you?" I sounded somewhat rude, but then again I wasn't the one watching Her sleep.

"Anne. Issac's wife," She looked at me almost too kindly, "For the passed two years."

"Lovely." I retorted less than sweetly.

"Breakfast is downstairs. Issac has already left, and told me to care for you."

"Thank you!" I smiled as she escorted me downstairs.

"I'm going to a meeting with my ladies group. Stay here and clean or something. Goodbye!" Anne closed the door and left me alone.

I ate a plate of eggs and burnt toast, and sat in the kitchen thinking of what to clean.

I began with the dishes, and then started on scrubbing the floors.
I began humming a tune Issac and I used to hum together..

"The Moonlight Valley." It wasn't a popular song, just a small tune I learned from Issacs mother.

I scrubbed vigorouly, singing the words of my tune.

'A valley so silver and fair,
A place you will find me there,
    Under the sweet moon.

There I shall wait for you,
Will you come for me too?
    In this moonlight valley,
    Where I love you.

    Here in the silence,
    We may find peace,
Stay with me and never leave.

A valley so silver and fair,
A place you will find me there,
    Under the sweet moon.'

I sang the sang, then hummed it, and carelessly scrubbed the floors.

"Why are you cleaning?" I heard the voice whisper behind me. I jumped from the sudden shock.

    "Oh! I was-"

"Nevermind. Please get up." He held out his hand but I got up on my own.

"How long were you there?" I was sooo embarrassed.

"Two minutes at the most." Issac Sternhiet smirked, then turned to the floor. "Excuse Anne. She's hard of heart..."

    "Its ok..." I smiled sweetly.

    "Well.."

"I guess I must be going now.. I must get home to my- my family.." I stuttered. I didn't have a family.

"That's nonsense! You don't have a fami-" He caught himself on his words.

"How would you know?!!!!!" I yelled, angered by his assumptions.. Even though they were true.

    "I-I don't.. I'm sorry Kira."

"Don't be! You're just another D-mned NAZI!!!!" I overreacted but I hated him.

"I-" He tried to stop me.

"I hate you!!! I hate all of you disgusting soldiers!!! You killed MY Issac! I had to hear him being Shot to death!!!!! Do you think I- I-" I fell to my knees then.. Issac. Dead. I still couldn't take that pain.

    "Issac?" He kneeled beside me.

"You Nazis murdered him!!!!" I sobbed. I shoved him away.

"Did you love him?" He asked me quietly.

"I love him so much..." I cried harder.

"He loves you too.." Issac Sternhiet stated, softly. As of he knew it were true.

    "You wouldn't know."

"How couldn't he have loved you?"

"I killed him. It was my fault.."

"Don't say that!" His words suddenly became sharp and pained.

"I killed him. Issac Stern is dead!" I yelled too loudly, but it felt so good to yell.

"He is not!!!!" He stepped towards me.

"How could you know! I heard the gun go off!!!!" I was angry then, so upset by his words.

"Because Kira...." Issacs voice trailed away. He sounded soo much like my Issac when he said my name like that.

"Dont. He is dead. I can't hear of him any more." I stared forward, drying tears lay on my face.

I walked into the next room, leaving him alone.. I waited for what seemed like hours in silence.

After a while though, I could hear him, walking in the kitchen singing...

    'Here in the silence,
    We may find peace,
Stay with me and never leave.

A valley so silver and fair,
A place you will find me there,
    Under the sweet moon.'
