Ever since I was little, all I could remember was performing, it was my life's passion. Singing, dancing, acting, you name it and I'd have had a crack at it. Sure, some of it I wasn't good at, especially the acting, but I enjoyed it, it gave me hope for something better in the future. When I was 7, my dad left me and my mom. My mom was only 29 at the time, but she adored me and my father. Shame it wasn't enough for him. Mom always said he left us because he had money troubles and didn't want to put his family through the pain. I believed her too, until I reached adolescence and decided to look into the matter further. He left us because he had a secret family. Me and mom have never seen eye to eye over the matter, but that's life I guess. The one thing we do agree on though, is my career, she knew I was going to be a star the minute I was born, the nurses said I came out of my mom's womb not crying, but singing, I highly doubt that but the story never fails to make me laugh. Mom pushed me into crazy things, children's clothes modelling, adverts, campaign ads, anything really that would get me noticed. I never got my big break, but I have definitely gotten a lot of experience in the world of media and fame. But I hadn't gotten my big break. Not yet. I looked anxiously around at the girls waiting in the line with me, I could see groups of tall and skinny girls, small and rather large girls, but that didn't matter right now, the only thing that mattered was our voice. I finally looked at my 2 best friends stood beside me, we were all huddling together trying to stay warm in the harsh December winter. Lilly was the best dancer out of all of us by far, she could break dance, tap dance and ever do ballet. This however, didn't stop her voice shining through, her voice when she sang was as soft and smooth as milk and honey together. She had long curly brown hair that complimented her blue eyes brilliantly, she had a cute button nose and large full lips to match. Then there was Naomi, the best singer of us all, she couldn't exactly dance, but she never ever have up trying. She was the smallest of us all, but boy was she feisty! She had a boy cut blonde hairstyle that made her look like some sort of exotic pixie. And then there was me, Jenny, I was in-between singing and dancing I guess, I could dance, but I could also sing as well. I had medium black hair that reached my shoulders, my eyes however, stood out the most, I had bright blue eyes that many people said they wanted. We were standing in line for an audition, the tv show Star-Rise, this was our last ditch attempt to get noticed by a record label, all the girls and I had decided that if we didn't make it on here, then the band would split up and we'd go our separate ways. "How long till they let us in?! I'm freezing for god sake!" Lilly said impatiently. "oh my jeeze Lil! Be patient baby doll, we'll get seen soon enough" Naomi answered frustrated. "Girls, caaaaaalm! I know you're nervous but we can't do anything about it until we see the production panel, you know how this show works!" I replied to them both laughing. I was the calm one out of them all, the most relaxed, yet they never payed attention to me, I wonder why... Suddenly I was nudged forward and brought out of my day dream "Move it! The line is moving!" I heard a girl snarl at me from behind. I turned around and apologised to this person and walked forward.
Ooh, I'm interested to see if some sort of competition will arise...or perhaps, something more interesting? Murder, romance? xD I expect much of you, Zoe.
