This chapter is boring, just an intro. "Wake up." I roll over in my sleep. "Wake up." I open my eyes, adjusting to the dim light. I'm sleeping in another cave, my third "home" in this week. We can never stay in one place for a while, because of my work. The thing is, my "work" isn't really work. Neither is Nathan's, or Ashley's. They "work" alongside me. We all look like normal, nice teenagers. We're all 17, average height, average weight. Nathan is very muscular, and Ashley is, well, let's just say she has some "big" things of her own. I'm 5'10, jet black hair, and dark brown eyes. There's only one difference- I'm a half demon. We all fight demons to protect humans, but they're not like me. They are humans, not a bit like me. I sometimes feel alienated from them, but I know that they've accepted me for who I am. "Damnit dude, just wake up." I grunt in reply. Sleep is my only escape from the hell I live in. "Ashley, come wake this bitch up." "Can't you do it yourself?" she says in reply, still half asleep. "No." "Fine." I hear Ashley get up, and walk over to me. "Come on sleepyhead." She say seductively. "There might be a reward." She gets close, so I can feel her breath on my cheek. "Maybe even a kiss.." She finishes with a delicate lick of my ear. I bolt awake. "Where's my kiss?" I grunt, turning to Ashley. Ashley winks playfully. "Gotcha."

It was hawt. Y'know it's kinda funny I remembered your story that won last summer and I was gonna suggest you write another one o.o. Looking forward to an update, interesting idea.
Long ass update, but worth it. Kind of gory, just sayin. The cave is filled with the mouth watering aroma of freshly made eggs and bacon. The three of us are gathered around the fire, each in our own thoughts. "So when are we gonna go out?" I say, breaking the silence. "Right after we're done." Nathan said. "I already have the day mapped out." We usually go around finding demons that are growing stronger, to stop them before anything happens. If we get near one, we can feel their magic in the air. There's a difference in dark magic and light magic. They both work the same, but it's different depending on the spirit that's controlling it. "Alright." Nathan said, rising to his feet. "Time to leave." "Already?" Ashley said. "I'm not even awake yet." "Well get awake, we're leaving anyway." Nathan began chanting the spell for a portal. There are two worlds, the demon's, and the humans. The demon's world is much larger, and much more magical. Floating islands, worlds made of pure lava, you name it. Then, a burst of light comes from Nathan's mouth. A large white circle appears, slightly sucking us in. "Where are we going first?" I say. "No idea." He steps into the portal, an disappears from our sight. Me And Ashley look at each other, and follow behind him. When our feet touch the ground, we find ourselves on an island. Lava surrounds it, scorching everything in a 30 foot radius. A large mountain is at the center, with smoke billowing at the top. "Fuck. I hate these hot places." Ashley says, already sweating. "Mhm." Me and Nathan agree. "Hey, Damien. Go look over there for any signs of demons." He signals, pointing to the left. "I'll look to the right." I follow his order, and go to the left. Immediately I feel a dark force coming from that direction. "Over here." Me and Nathan say at the same time. "That's a lot of demons... I can feel it too." Ashley says. "Well, where do we start?" "I think most of it is coming from where I am." I say. "It's not just magic, it's almost threatening." "Alright." Nathan says. He turns his legs into wheels. "Hop on." I never did mention the fact that we all have superhuman abilities. Nathan is a shapeshifter, and can change at will. Ashley is a physic, and can read people's minds and force them to do things they don't want to. I'm an elementalist, which means I control the things around me. Water, fire, earth, that kind of stuff. We hop on Nathan's back and ride for a few miles, and then we spot him. A demon 20 feet tall. It's tail and body are dirty black, while it's eyes burn with rage and hate. It looks up and let's out a deafening scream. "How the hell are we gonna kill it?" Ashley asks. "Just stick together. It's only one demon." Nathan replies. "Better than 2,3-" "Maybe thousands?" I say, pointing at the demon. It's slowly dissolving, it's body melting down. No, not dissolving- breaking apart. It was a creation of many smaller demons, not one big one. Thousands of demons, 1 foot tall are now looking in our direction. Their fangs glisten in the light of the surrounding lava, promising pain. Their tails are lined with spikes, each one sharper then the one before. "This won't be easy.. Not at all." Nathan says. "Watch eachother's asses, alright?" "No problem." I say with a grin, looking at Ashley. Ashley rolls her eyes. "Let's get to it." Ashley taps into a middle demon's mind, making it lash out and kill ever other one in a 3 foot radius. It's brains explode directly after, splashing blood and guts on the demons surrounding. The demons are infuriated. 996 demons charge at us, hate in their eyes. Nathan is the first to react, turning his arm into a 4 foot long chainsaw, sweeping across the first wave of demons. They walk a few feet headless, then fall limp to the floor. Now it's my turn. I tap into the magic in the air, then make a wave with the lava surrounding us. I thrust the wave at the demons, who try to escape. A few survive, but most of them are hit. Cries of agony come from them. "Watch out!" Ashley yells. A demon is jumping at Nathan, aiming to kill. Nathan reacts quickly, raising his hand and turning his nails into razer sharp daggers. The demon gets caught on the nails, and stays there limply. Nathan throws the demon at the rest of them. Ashley makes it explode the second it lands, covering us in flesh and minew. "My hair..." Ashley says, picking intestines out of her long blonde hair. "Get the fuck over it." Nathan says, and jumps into the waves of demons. For a moment he looks like he going to die, but then I look at his arms. They've turned into spinning blades, crushing the bones and severing the limbs of demons. Ashley helps him out by making all the demons trying to attack him redirect in midair and attack each other. A demon slips through and bits Nathan in the legs. Nathan cries out, but turns his leg to steel and shatters his teeth. "Nice one!" I yell. I'm preparing attack to kill hundreds. I pick up the rocks on the ground using magic, and turn them to razor sharp knives. I have hundreds, thousands- and then I let go. The demons notice the knives flying at their heads, but it's too late. Ashley and Nathan saw it beforehand and protected themselves. Ashely made a force field around her, and Nathan turned his left arm into a giant shield. Only 50 demons remain. We've practically already won. But these are smart, and in a last resort, they merge together. They make a 10 foot tall demon, it's nails each a foot long. This one is dangerous. He could swipe at us and kill in one it. "Damien". Nathan says. "Throw me up there." I question him, but I know he's right. I split the ground under him in half, and throw it in the air. It works, and he follows, heading towards the demon's head. He turns his legs into a drill in midair, and drills into the demon's skull. The demon tries to yank Nathan off, but he holds on. After 10 seconds, he detaches his legs from the drill. "Ashley, now!" Nathan shouts. Ashley makes the drill go deeper into the skull, and enter the body. She controls it all the way to his heart, and- boom. More flesh comes at us. We protect our eyes, but we take the most of the smell. I gag, and Ashley vomits. I open my eyes and cheer. "We won." Ashley says. "We sure did." I look over at a bloody Nathan walking over to us. He only has one arm.
