Hahaha early update! Hahaha

I was looking for Caleb after school but it was raining today so it was difficult. I told my brother to pick me up later since I was going to tutoring. Really I was just looking for Caleb but finally when I thought of just giving up I turn around and bump right into him and he catches me in his arms.

"You just can't seem to stop tripping can you," he said and released me.

"Haha, I'm very clumsy you know."

"Obviously."

I smiled.

"Come with me," he said and extended his hand.

I hesitated but took it. He led me to the small side door of the gym that was covered so it was dry. We sat down still holding hands for some reason.

"I gotta tell you something Alex."

I was bracing myself just in case,"Yes?"

"Maddie and I broke up."

A flood of relief came down my spine.
"Oh I'm so sorry."

You guys might think I'm relieved that they aren't together but no it's not. Its because I thought he was going to say "I like you." or something along those lines.

"Nah it's okay we've been arguing a lot lately... Actually I'm kind of relieved."

"I'm not a reason, am I," I asked feeling guilt now.

"Don't flatter yourself sweetheart."

I laughed, I said the same thing to him when it was Brandon. Both of us stood up again.

"So thats a no?"

"Well we got into an argument and she mentioned you so in a way yes."

"Oh I'm so sorry Caleb I-"

"Don't worry Alex."

I gave him a hug for some reason but this felt like something different. His arms around me just felt so warm and protective. We finally let go. We looked into each others eyes and what happened next was too unexpected. He leaned in for a kiss. I just froze when those warm lips went on mine. He then took my head in those rough, yet soft hands of his. Somehow my arms wrapped around his neck and I thought this kiss was lasting forever. Until...

"Hey Alex, can you do me a fav-"

I immediately separated my self and was praying that, that voice was not from the person it was known to be from. I was right. Standing there was the owner of usually dark brown emotionless eyes, now filled with sadness. Brandon.

 

Brandon started making his way towards the high school. I tools step towards him but Caleb grabbed my arm to stop me.

"Let go of me!"

I was struggling to release his grasp. It hurt, I was losing circulation.

"Leave him..."

"Caleb, let go!"

He just looked at me.
"Let go of me god damn it!"

I kept struggling and it was really hurting and finally he released. I fell to the ground rubbing arm. There was a mark left. I looked at Caleb. His eyes filled with sorrow.


"Alex I-"

"Don't!"

I grabbed my things and started chasing after Brandon. He turned to see me and he sped up.

"Brandon wait!"

He started running and I did too. I put my hand on his shoulder but he turned quickly to shove me off. I fell back landing on my bottom. I got up quickly.

"Brandon he kissed me."

"Whatever Alex."

"Brandon I swear!"

"Alex I don't care!"

He turned to start walking. I caught his shoulder and put my arms around him.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to... it just happened!"

He wasn't putting arms around me. I slowly started releasing my grasp but he put his arms around me quickly and held me tight. Years were coming to my eyes but I blinked them away quickly.

"I know Alex, I forgive you."

I buried my face on his chest and we just stood there.

"I'm really sorry Brandon I-"

"Shhh. It's okay it's fine."

He kissed the top of my head and he let me go.

"But we can never be."

I nodded knowing this was true.
"I know. But you'll find that perfect girl someday."

He smiled and took my hand.
"You are one of the nicest people I've met."

I just smiled.

"Thanks Brandon."

I turned to go to the high school, and as I did I saw Caleb. Anger was in face. He quickly turned around and walked off. Only one thing was in my head. I couldn't please both guys....

 

Sorry Lindsey!!! 

 

I was sitting outside the gym with my younger brother hoping a friend would walk by so I could ask for a ride. My brother was out of town for a soccer game so I had to find a ride home. We had been waiting here for about an hour, I finally got up.

"Hey sweetie I think we should just walk home."

Jared's sweet little voice said,"Aww but it's kinda far!!"

"It's okay I'll carry you."

I picked him up when Caleb walked out of the gym. He smiled as he saw me.

"Hey, what are you still doing here?"

"I was hoping to get a ride with someone."

Caleb raised a hand to Jared and they high fived, "Hey there buddy."

Jared replied sweetly,"Hi!"

I smiled and kissed Jared on the cheek.
"So I'm just gonna walk home, bye Caleb."

"Whoa wait you can get a ride with me!"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah definitely."

I thought about it, what the heck?
"Okay."

Caleb's brother came and picked us up. All of us sat in the back. Jared and I sat on the right side.
"Hey Jared, honey, sit on my lap."
He did as he was told. I wrapped my arms around his small waist and put on my seat belt.

Caleb raised his eye brows.

"He is too small for the seat, let alone the middle one."

Caleb nodded.

In the car drive we talked, laughed and joked. His brother was pretty funny so i enjoyed the car read. Yet just as we were laughing at a joke I turn to my right and see a car coming towards us. Really fast. Not stopping. My first instinct was to unbuckle myself and set Jared on the side. Just as I was unbuckling the seat belt and picking up Jared off my lap,Caleb said,"Alex what are you-"
BAM! A handful of glass was already cutting me.

I woke up and saw white lights of the hospital and the smell of disinfect alarmed me. I got up quickly and I heard the beeping of the cardiac monitor speeding up.

"Hey calm down," a hand gets on my shoulder and look up to see Ryan.

I get a massive pain in my head and put my hand on my head, "Wha- What happened?"

Ryan's jaw tightened, "A car crashed on your side since Caleb's brother wasn't paying attention."

"It's not his fault though."

"No it was the other drivers fault."

"Then why are you mad?"

"I told you to stay away from him!"

"I needed a ride!"

"You could've walked!"

"Ryan, its seven miles away!"

He stayed silent and looked off somewhere. I turned my head in that direction to see Jared rolled up on a chair asleep. Caleb as well was slouched and his head was on his shoulder and he was asleep too.

"How long have I been out?"

"A day."

"Have you slept?"

He shook his head.

"Go get some sleep."

He walked to a chair and laid down. He quickly fell asleep. I waited a bit and then examined my self. I had butterfly bandages on my right cheek, temple, and jaw. My right hand was wrapped and I had bandages on my arm to too. I saw stitches near my elbow. I had a pain in some of my ribs. My legs were practically fine except for cuts here and there. I turned my head to make sure Ryan was asleep and got up from the bed. The hospital gown felt weird and my wavy brown hair kept getting in my face. I needed a hair cut. My feet started getting cold. I hated hospitals. They were so cold. I walked slowly towards Caleb and knelt down and poked him awake. A sound nearly escaped his mouth but my hand quickly covered his mouth.

"Shhh..." I whispered, "Are you okay?"

He quietly said,"Yeah I'm completely fine, what about you?"

"Haha pain?"

"Yeah."

"Is Jared okay?"

"Oh yeah he's fine, not a scratch on him all because of you."

I sighed in relief and looked at my hands. There was a moment of silence. He brushed the hair out my face.

"It's all my fault," Caleb said.

I looked up quickly,"What, no!"

"Alex if I hadn't offer-"

"Stop!"

"Face it, it is."

"No it's not," I said in a whisper.

"Alex I-"

I quickly pulled him towards me and kissed him. He took my head in his hands. We were there kissing for awhile. I finally let go of him and I separated myself.

I whispered,"It's not your fault okay?"

"Alex-"

I put my finger to his mouth,"Shhh."

I heard foot steps getting close to the room and I quickly got back in bed.
As the door opened I saw Caleb staring at me.

"Hi sweetie," said a nurse.

I smiled at her.

"Looks like we need to out you on an IV"

I looked at her quickly,"You mean I get a needle stuck in me!?"

"Yes don't worry it won't hurt."

"Don't worry Alex it'll be okay," said Caleb.

I looked at him worriedly. I hate needles...
