Love. A simple four letter word that could change so much. I always thought love was easy. I thought once you feel it, that feeling will be there forever. But boy was I was wrong. This all started out with a guy named Caleb.
Part 2: I kept running the grass through my fingers, feeling the wind in my face. I smiled when my friend called out, "Hey want a drink?" "Sure, a Gatorade please I need to recover from my 800 meter run." The wind started giving me chills so I grabbed my jacket and put over my track uniform. My friends and I were sitting in the football field in the middle of track. I wasn't paying attention to what they were saying instead I caught the eye of a guy staring at me. He was actually pretty cute, golden, brown hair, hazel eyes. He started walking my way and I looked away quickly trying to join the conversation. I smiled and laughed having absolutely no idea what everyone was talking about. He was a few feet away from when I looked back up. He smiled at me and joined the conversation. "Come on guys time to pack up," said the coach. Everyone started getting up except for me. That's when I noticed he was still sitting down, he got up and offered me a hand. As I put my hand in his I looked into those hazel eyes and that's when I knew...
Caleb was his name. We had many things in common, he liked soccer, was good at math and track, and loved art. We were picking up our things from the bleachers when he asked, "So you know everything about me, what about you?" As we walked to the bus I told him everything, things I wouldn't normally tell people after meeting them for only ten minutes. Somehow I felt I could just trust him. We were getting into the bus when he whispered in my ear "By the way I won't tell anyone." There. I froze staring off into the distance realizing maybe he's not so bad. A lot of the guys at my school were jerks but I already had a boy friend yet I was starting to like Caleb. Mixed feelings were rushing down my spine, curiosity, guilt, nervousness. I turned around quickly to get my gym bag when my boy friend, Brandon was right there. He was staring right at me. I looked into those always emotionless eyes but for the first time I saw anger, jealousy, and most of all pain. I grabbed my gym bag with out a word and got into the bus. Brandon sat next to me and said three words that impacted so much "I forgive you" and his eyes closed and he fell asleep. I sat there staring at him appalled at him for thinking I would actually do something with Caleb. The thought went away quickly. I didn't want to start an argument here. I just took his hand in mine and laid my head on his shoulder, slowly drifting away into sleep.
