An Idea

  1. Can some people be the aliens?

  2. I think tat plot is a little too abstract, I think I'll go with a love story which has a dark undertone in an action story about medieval England and how kings were assassinated etc

  3. I like stories that are a bit modern/futuristic. While I like Medieval stories, I can't write them .-.
Stories about assassins are pretty legit to write, though.
    Chloe-Chan 

  4. I could help. I'm pretty good with titles

  5. Same with Pie, when I think olden Shakespeareian times, I think Old English. And as much as I want to deny it, I suck at writing using words like 'thou', 'yon', 'thee', 'thy', and 'tis'.

    ... Crap.

It could be an angsty romance, though. Something not too cliché... I'm not a fan of classic high school romances where the chick's a blonde with blue eyes and all that crap.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against blondes, but when the plot's about a 'hot blonde and blue eyed goddess', I immediately just quit the page and use a hammer to break whatever device I'm using.

    Main point?

Nobody's going to want to read about something so overrated, cliché, and drab as that.

  6. Qin, we could always create a pal group and discuss.

I'm not exactly sure how to keep up with you all, since I'm on the other side of the world, but we could try.

There should also be a limit of people working on the story... 8 for the max? Like what Qinny said, we can't force too much on the reader.

Some of us have different ideas on how to end the story and all that, and when we accidentally cross a line, it's hard to fix it. And when you look at the big picture, you find a messed up puzzle. Get what I mean?

I guess what I'm saying is that we need to think about how we're going to do this before we talk about the plot... That's optional, of course.

  7. I agree with Chloe and Pie. 

  8. Well, the thing is, we need to agree on a basic genre and plot line. We have A)Sci-fi romance
    B)Sci-fi adventure
    C)Macabre romance
    D)Medieval drama
    E)Whatever else I didn't include
This will take planning and coordination. Getting the genre and basic outline is the first most necessary step.

  9. I vote for C.

Most of the dramatic lovey dovey stories here are great, but they're not exactly capturing the depth of it all.

I'm not saying they're not pulling it off, it's just that we need more... hm. Angst.

We could also mix the genres in like what Fletch said.

    Drama/Romance/Action/Adventure?

    That seems like a fit.

  10. I also vote for C 
Macabre, that I can pull off

  11. Ooh! Ooh! We could add a bit of blood in it. :0

  12. Blood! Pie enjoys blood! 
    …*sounds like a creeper*

  13. OH, CRAP!! IT COULD BE A TWIST!!!!!!!!!!

And we really shouldn't discuss the plot here. It would be like a spoiler...

  14. *cough*
We should really keep this to PM then. But my blurb is: ROMANCE! ANGST! VIOLENCE! Psychological problems! Blood! Creepy-ness! Action! Drama! Conflict!

  15. Imani! No blood for you!

  16. Yes blood for me! 

  17. Who said anything about blood? 
    Romance can be your focus...
