Best movie I have seen in a while I went to the midnight showing lAst night but I was in V.I.P which was fucking amazing but yea peeta (Josh) I know him in real life and I watched the movie with his grandma yesterday...she is awesome. But I have known josh ever since his first big movie when I found out he went to a school close to me and something I found interesting is: District 12 is around the Kentucky area (coal mines) and both of the main characters are from Kentucky well if anyone else saw the movie feel free to write your thoughts and ratings of the movie here. Ok I'm off 5/5 "A must see movie"
Oh LOL. Our teacher said he'd offer us a trip to the theatre in Galaxy, a five star casino/hotel near our school if we were nice. Basically, if we're nice, we get fake money, use that fake money for prizes, and score the trip to watch the Hunger Games. I seriously reccomend the movie, but you should watch the book first.
I was gonna see it earlier... Until a stupid drunk walked down the stairs of the cinema entrance... And punched me in the face._. My jaw still hurts...
I read all three of them. I'm a bibliphile, you never knew? Books are more detailed, captivates the audience for a long amount of time, and they're part of life. Movies, I'm not exactly a big fan of staring at an oversized TV for an hour and a half. I haven't watched a movie for three years already... In the theatre, anyways. The most recent one I watched was a few months ago. I don't even TOUCH the remote control anymore.
I read all three books multiple times as well I like reading books more than watching the movie because with books you can create every detail in your mind and it is more imaginative.
I don't know where you heard that they taped anything in Kentucky, because the entire movie was filmed in North Carolina. Most of District 12 was in Hildebran, NC. The reaping scene was in Shelby, NC. Asheville held the training facility. The arena was a mix between DuPont National Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Charlotte and Concord held the majority of the rest of the scenes, including most Capital shots, and several surrounding cities held what was left over. Nothing in the movie was shot elsewhere. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
I never said anything about 'watching a book'. But if isn't reading easy? You scan your eyes on the parchment, and let your brain do what it does best. .-. Cato's a faggot. I'd take Finnick over him any day...
And before anybody says anything about Peeta riding on a white horse, I'll have you know that Gale's way more badass. >:I He rides on a black stallion. ._.
Neon, I think he meant that the place she describes where District 12 is is somewhere in Kentucky. Just throwing that out there.
Another plain movie. But true. READ THE BOOKS! Coz the books are greatand the movie is just ok. Not a "wow" movie.
