A memory of February snow (story)

  1. (btw she = main character, haven't decided a name yet :p)

She rubbed her eyes. Tiredness over-taking them. It had been three days since she was able to bask in the moons light, and even then she only managed to for a short while. However, as short as the time was, she remembered and enjoyed every minute of it.

She closed her eyes and listened. Her eyes seemed to want to stay closed, she wished she could let them. She loved her sleep after times like this. She knew she couldn't though. It was nine o'clock but to her it felt like eleven- to early for her to sleep, besides it was a time where her elder had managed to come down. She hadn't expected her father to come nor for it to snow at the beginning of February but she liked it and didn't want a memory like this to disappear any time soon.

He yawned and rubbed his eyes in unison to me. Then declared he needed to "walk and clear his head so that he could rest easy later".
Looking down she felt a lump grow in her throat, ones that you see females in movies have before the blabber and crying began. Expecting someone to be there for them, to comfort them. Huh, and her mother called her a Drama-mama.

I removed my lethargic body from the chair and made my way back to the window, covered by the train-track blinds.
I stretched out my arm in order to move the blinds so that my eyes could then search the forbidden sky for the moon, my sanctuary.
Instead I found a clear sky, gone of stars, ridden of the planets and my moon. Nothing. Just plain nothing.
    Bloody typical!

(if you want more please comment on this first)
