Ari's Pov I gave Isabella my best smile, glancing between her and the scary-looking boy beside her. "Leave me alone," Isabella warned, looking stressed by me just being here. I wish I could, if only you knew. "I'm afraid I can't do that," I said with a breath. "She said get lost," The scary guy barked. I took a nervous step back from his tone, a bit afraid of what he might do. "Look I know you want nothing to do with this, but please here me out, you must know about the pact," Isabella eyed me warily. "Fine, go ahead..." I nodded, taking a small step towards her, and clearing my throat. "I guess it would be best to start from the beginning," I began looking only at Isabella, afraid of the harsh glare pointed at me from the boy beside her. "It may be wise to speak quickly, I'm losing my patience," The boy growled. I swallowed, and went on quickly. "There was two powerful clans, one clan rich with strength, skills, and incredible powers, they were known as Necropolis. The second clan was rich with knowledge, money, and cleverness. They were known as the Diabolos. For centuries they been rivals, constantly at war with each other. Both sides were losing people like mad, so the king of the Necropolis made a pact with the Diabolos king." Isabella watched me now with more interest, nodding for me to continue. "Stefan Necropolis agreed that his first son would marry David Diabolos's first daughter, this would create peace between the two." "That was a pretty good idea, did it work?" Isabella said raising a curious brow. I gave a rueful smile. "No, because David Diabolos's daughter had gotten kidnapped right out of her crib, and was bought and sold to undeserving humans," Isabella frowned glancing to the boy beside her. "So what happened, did they find a new person to marry Stefan's son?" She asked. I shook my head. "No.. King Stefan wouldn't accept marriage between any one but the first daughter of David.. So when David and Stefan died... Stefan's brother took power.." I said rubbing the back of my neck. "And Stefan's brother being king.. Isn't good?" Isabella concluded. "It's horrible, he has turned corrupt, and has taken over both families, yet still pit us against each other," Isabella looked down at her hands. "Where is David's baby daughter?" She asked. I slowly raised my hand pointing up to her. She froze, just staring at me. Maybe now she has seen the light, and will come rule.. Bump??
Alida's POV I played a bit with the blanket I was placed on. The sun was shining over us with a gentle breeze. The park just seemed like the perfect place, and Sal had made this beautiful picnic. Who knew he was such an amazing cook. I watched over to him, locking my eyes with his baby blue eyes. "Alida, we have been together for such a long time you know.." Sal started, his smile a bit more nervous then usual. I smiled kindly at that. "Yes we have," "And you know, I was to be with you forever.." He said crawling closer to me, his hand moving behind him to his pocket. I looked at him curiously, but my attention was taken away as I heard a large tree fall down and a furious growl. I recognized that growl, and turned to Sal. "Did you heard that," I muttered. Sal paused, a pout starting on his lips. "B-But," I heard another tree fall, and rose to my feet. "Come on let's check it out," I said and quickly walked in the direction of the sounds. I heard Sal sigh behind me, but I felt him following closely behind me. When we made it Emma was hiding behind some girl, and Elijah was ripping a tree apart in a fit of rage. Quickly I ran, not even thinking, and stood between him and the tree. Elijah's eyes were the blackest I have ever seen, but I say they seemed to go a bit lighter as I leaned back on the tree. "Move, now," I shook my head watching his eyes. Elijah growled loudly in anger, he flew his fist with power and speed towards me, but ended up hitting the trunk; just inches from my ribs. "I mean it Alida, get the hell out of the way," "I mean it to, I'm not moving," Elijah hissed in fury, running his hands harshly through his hair cursing loudly. "Elijah, listen to me, I don't know why your mad.. But your Elijah.. The Elijah, you know how to break the rules and get what you want, it's what you do best," Elijah stared at me now, his body finally not shaking anymore. I smiled at him, hoping that he was beginning to calm. "But I'm going to lose.. Emma," I shook my head at his words. "You won't, you two both love each other, and no matter what happens love always finds a way," He took what I said, and I quickly glanced at the other's tense faces. When I looked back at Elijah I sighed in relief at his bright blue eyes, he must be calm again. I thought he was going to say something, but instead his arms came around me, and pulled me to his chest, hugging me. I was a bit shocked, but hugged back, in hopes to soothe him. His head tilted, so his lips were on my ear, but angled us so Emma and Sal couldn't see what he was doing. "Thank you, Alida, but you know you shouldn't have done that," He whispered almost darkly. I swallowed. "Why," "Because it almost seemed like you cared, I'm having a hard enough time resisting you, I don't need you doing this kind of thing ever again, got it," I nodded, wide eyed, not knowing what to say or how to react to this. "Hmm good, glad we are clear," He muttered, and he slide his nose up my neck, placing a kiss on my jaw before he glared at something behind me and pulled away, turning his back on me and walking back to Emma. I shakily walked back to Sal, hugging him tightly, hiding my face in his chest. Sal growled as his held me close. "What the hell was he doing?" Sal demanded. "Just a hug sweetie, he was a wreck," I said softly, looking up in his eyes. He seemed to calm at my look and nodded, hugging me to his side before shooting Emma and Elijah a glare, before walking us back to our picnic. I closed my eyes for a second as we walked. What was I going to do, I had to stop this before things got worse. What do you think!? Bump?
