THE LONGGG WALK

The Long Walk:

I remember the last day before my new life, I had been walking in the silent woods. The woods was always silent and fairly cool. Often I went there to think and run away from reality. But the day I remember was quite odd and very overly humid.

I whirled around to see a face peer out of the brush at me. It wasn't a familar face and not quite human. The eyes had a glossy look, like blind eyes. The skin that was exposed and had a glowing halo around it. Almost like it was on fire. The nose was small and turned up. I only had to look a second to see it was the face of a wood elf.
Wood elves were shy, yet very volient creatures. To get near one was a fate worse than death. So i turned on my right heel digging my bare foot into the dirt and high-tailed it. I forgot JUST how elves were. In seconds the creature was on me. Her hair flowed around her in a silvery light which explains the glowing around her face........

Her face had a single scar, going from her left eye to her right jaw. The mark was paper thin and a light, unhealthy yellow. The spot where some elf had killed her life.

Which she was about to do to me. I tried to run but my legs weren't working. They ached and refused to bend. Her pale lips parted,"My name is Adriannea. You will become Aron. You will be my servant until I die. Understand?" She put a slender finger under my trembling chin. Her cloudy eyes flickered over my face. She was looking for the spot to slice. A nail tapped my skin behind my left ear. I dared not breathe as she dragged the tip across to the tip of my chin. The cut didn't hurt, but the amount of blood told me it was deep. I fell back into a plush bed of leaves.

In a husky whisper,"I'll be back." Her face lit up as she said it. I shuddered.
That was the last day of my old life.

 

This was jay a short story. There is no more to it. But I am writing others.

It was in an accident involving anger, me, a paper shredder, and scissors. Oh and a lighter.

 

I don't always enjoy those accidents. And no, I am making my own characters. I don't add people. So quit asking!
