You're probably with another chick, too indulged to remember. I'd look out in the dark starry night, sipping my fancy wine. I'd hope for it to be a time to dine, with you. Guess this lace dress just won't do. Another day, another night, I'd sit restless in a bar, flirting with men while you're swimmin' in my thoughts... Putting on this red lipstick, it's for the best, watching the sun silently set. All alone, eyes narrowed, I could only hope to fool around, with you. Dusk to dawn, I'm all alone, watching the cars, come and go, I want you here... With me... That husky scent of cigarettes, it's unmistakably you— I wonder why I haven't confessed, I guess it's because I'm not the best... All those nights, you'll likely forget... Those chicks that line up on your block, I'm out of your league, if compared... I wonder why I give a shit, 'cause baby, you're the only one who can give me what I want... And what I want, is a piece of, you. ----- You're not appealing enough, I always said, to these hopeless girls whom are over in their heads, they'd rock on their heels and hope to fall, it's sad... If only I had the pathetic guts, to walk up to you and tell you how I feel, but I, have to keep up this silly façade... We'll never wake. ---- They said we're inseperable, that we'd never stray, but when we walked our different paths, I guess our ideals changed— Two paths ahead of us, you'd choose the one I dare, not to take— Delusional, you were a dreamer, I kept my sanity and walked away, I guess, that whatever could've happened faded away... If only life was cliché. -----
