Joe With Josh, Danzo and Nana to the left, and Naomi gone off- course to the right, I slid down together with Sophie, Taylor and Fletcher. The rest of Josh's squad was in tow behind us, when suddenly a missile found its way to them. All of U's had horrified looks on our faces jut before the missile made contact. I wanted to help, but the was no way to. The missile exploded, and nothing bit a few charred pieces of cloth was left of them. The impact threw U's into the air, and then back to the slope down the ridge. We tumbled down, somersaulting the whole way. I fell to the ground first. All the air was pushed out of my lungs. Then the second impact came. Taylor. She landed on me, and she took my breath away. (Hehe. Joe, I'm setting this up for you.) Taylor blushed and quickly got off me. She took off closer to the rebels and fired her Uzi, bullet shells flying all over the place. Sophie fired her Dragon's Breath, incendiaries blasted at the rebels. I followed Fletcher, and we made for a spider hole. We opened it, dropped two drags in it with haste and leapt into it. We opened the top a little, with just enough space for our barrels. As this was even further from our frontlines, we were very close to the enemy. I loaded a grenade into my M203, and blasted a shot. It exploded in the middle of the rebels, and there were many victims. Suddenly, a spark erupted near the rebels. Where dis that come from? Fletcher disrupted my thoughts, "Sophie's Dragon's Breath. Now get your ass outta here. Unless you wanna be cooked."
Danzo Joe and Fletcher had made it out of the spider hole without turning into human jerky, but, as fast as they were making for cover, the fire was still spreading. It was hot on their heels (figuratively and literally) and was gaining fast. Joe turned round and when he turned his head back to face us, we realized that his face was covered with soot marks, and his eyebrows were slightly singed. I ran forward, throwing down my MP5K and taking out my 'flamethrower', I spewed fire from it against the oncoming fire. "The only way to beat fire, is to fight it with fire!" I shout dramatically, over the sounds of burning and gunfire. Taylor retorted immediately, "Idiot! You know that isn't true!" I chuckled to myself, reached under my weapon and switched a valve. This time, when I pulled the trigger, water blasted out instead of fire. The fire wad strong, and water evaporated into smoke. But where the water evaporated, more of it took it's place, fighting against the fire. Soon, the fire slowly weakened, and thanks to my trusty 'flamethrower', we were safe from any form of fire for the time being. Everyone stared in silence, and then cheered, chanting my name. Suddenly, Fletcher interrupted the chants, "What the ****?! Where ate the rebels?" Josh looked over, and his eyes widened in shock. "Naomi..."
Mods please do not lock this thread. Please understand the vulgarities were only to make it feel more realistic. Thanks
Taylor I looked around frantically, for once hoping the captain was wrong. But he wasn't. Naomi was nowhere to be found. In the distance, we could see the last of the rebels retreating into the woods. Josh took his helmet off and dropped his arm. He loosely held his fire-arm in his grip. I could tell Naomi meant a lot to him as a friend. Suddenly he looked up. Putting his helmet on. And gripping his M-16 tightly in both his palms, up to the extent that his fingertips were white, he gritted his teeth and instructed, "Taylor, Griffindoor, you stay behind and hold the ridge. We can't afford to lose this ridge. The other soldiers will assist you. If we're gonna win this war, we're not leaving anyone behind Let's move out!" Everyone grunted in unison, "Hoo-ah!" I went up to Joe, and said, "Be careful Joe. I've lost too many friends in this war already. I can't lose you." Joe smiled, his usual cheery character, "Don't worry, I'll be fine!" -----------------------------------------
The squad, which was made up if significantly fewer soldiers, were about to move out, when a shout came from the far end of the ridge. "Hey Cap! Wait up!" Josh turned to find two men running up to him. He found a tall and well built soldier in front of him. "Hill Boom, 21st Infantry. My comrades and I would like to help you." The second man stepped up, "Charlie Davis Sir." Josh was impressed by their size and enthusiasm. "Thank you soldier. We'll need all the help we can get."
End if Chapter 4 Chapter 5: Party Crashers Hill I got all my men to help Josh, Nana, Danzo and Fletcher's squad.I managed to get Callum and Charlie, the medic. And so, together, we marched on into the woods. All of us were aware that this was no longer in Afghanistan. Hell, Afghanistan had no freakin' forests. No, this was way past the border; this was another country already. And if the rebels had to resort to fleeing to another country, then we were definitely winning this war. Or so I thought...
Qin Following the captains and walking hand-in-hand with Nana, we swiftly made our way to the end of the long vary where the battle had taken place. Walking past No Man's Land and into enemy territory, we walked past bodies -some snared, some with missing body parts- of rebels. As I walked past these bodies, I felt a growing sympathy inside of me, realizing how young they all were. A tear rolled down my cheek. Then I had a flashback. A flashback of how brutally they killed my friends. They sky was streaked with traces of red smoke. Alarms were wailing, warning us of danger, bit it was all already over. I backed of with Dianne and Courtney into the tight and confined room, our fire-arms useless; ammo-nano. Two young rebels followed us in, and raising their AK-47s, started spraying bullets randomly. Suddenly their eyes widened after gunshots were heard from the distance, and they fell to the ground. Reinforcements. But they were to late. Dianne and Courtney lay on the cold metal floor, surrounded by pools of crimson blood. And yet I was unscathed. I snapped out of the flashback abruptly, and gasped at that horrible thought. Nana inquired and touched my face, but I pushed him away. I was filled with anger. No, not anger. Hatred. Yes, hatred. I shouted over to Josh, "Cap, let's hurry. I've got some rebel asses to whoop!"
LOL... sorry Joe... I'm unpopular I guess. Effort gone to waste. No one actually reads my stories. Feel like giving up.
