Knights did kill each other in the middle of a war do you think they just said 'ok old chap, let's just leave it now'? The slaughtered each other. Maybe not in tourneys and jousts but the chivalry age didn't show as much chivalry as people thought. Ask the prisoners of Agincourt....
Not hitting a girl is the sign of a normal human being. Hitting a girl is the sign of a weak assed *****
And also for chivalry...Henry II likely gave the order (although by accident) to have Saint Thomas a Becket slain in Canterbury Cathedral. Richard the Lionheart ordered thousands of Saladin's prisoners of war to be slaughtered during the crusades. Richard III may or may not have murdered Edward V and Richard Duke of York after disinheriting them to take their crown. Whatever happened, they were never seen again and dug up in the tower later. Richard's body was carted naked over the back of a horse after the Battle of Bosworth by Henry VII. It was also common practice after war to slaughter men, women and children from villages and steal their belongings but rape the women and girls first. Knights had warhorses called destriers, which fought too and happily attacked men with their hooves and teeth. Henry VIII executed so many people so that he could get some that I can't even begin. He sacked the monasteries to steal the treasure. Mary then burnt anyone at the stake who disagreed with her views on Catholicism. That was just the leaders, the knights actually on a war field were just as bad. Edward IV and Richard duke of York (later Richard III) at one battle even violated sanctuary and killed everyone who was hiding inside. Not quite as nice as people think lol.
So... This Mary bitched slaughtered every person if they weren't Catholic? Man, now I'm glad we're living in the twenty first century...
So I'm the only person who noticed she stole this entire speech, word for word, from a movie? Besides the fact I've seen the movie, we've seen Harley spam useless crap on the forums enough to know she copied and pasted that while original post. Lol.
Chloe, Mary I was a devout Catholic. He father, Henry VIII broke with the church of Rome and appointed himself Supreme Head of the Church of England when the Pope refused to grant him a divorce from her mother, Catherine of Aragon so that he could marry Anne Boleyn. Catherine always argued that she was Henry's true wife and the Mary was a legitimate princess (Henry declared her a bastard after the divorce). He then left her mother to die in a cold, damp castle whilst Protestantism spread throughout the country. When Henry died, knowing that Mary would turn the country catholic again her enemies placed Lady Jane Grey on the throne instead. She was executed. She went on a rampage against 'heretics' to turn her country back to the 'true faith' and burnt non Catholics at the stake :|
