I just heard I am getting braces soon wot type should I get See through, normal, jewled, gold or wot? Also if u had braces how do they feel uncomfy or wot? Plz I must hear ur reviews!
Umm depends on how much money you have I guess :s Braces are uncomfortable at first and it hurts...a lot...you feel like quitting eating. Especially when you have to eat cafeteria food. But after a few weeks you will get used to it and all will be well.
It really all depends on your opinion of braces. If you don't want it to be obvious, go with invisalign.
Whoops. Didn't mean to post that yet. Invisalign is less noticeable, which is good, but it takes longer and can be pretty expensive. I've never seen jeweled or gold braces. You could try lingual braces. They go on the side of the teeth that comes into contact with the tongue. Also less noticeable, but they may cause a slight speech impediment at first and tear up your tongue a bit. Really, though, it comes down to your parents and how much they are willing to spend. Take Advil before you get them put on so that it kicks in by the time you are done. It will be less painful. Good luck!
Or you could use the most expensive type of braces like I did... They take a mould of your teeth then and make a clear plastic mould for your teeth..., (like a mouth guard or those clear retainers....) they are expensive.... Or get glow in the dark braces....
I didn't know what they were called Amanda I was thinking that was what the name of it was called... I had those for four years 2 1/2 as braces and 1 1/2 as retainers
4 years?! Holy cow. ... I never had braces... But I did make my own retainers for my senior project in high school. [: never had to wear them, though.
Yeah :/ the 2 1/2 years were annoying as braces every single day I had to wear them... They even snapped as well lol
Actually the clear braces work quicker but they're more expensive(not the invisalign) and after about a week it doesn't hurt. Then u get straight teeth
I just had normal braces as I got them done at the local orthodontist and as I lived in a county area they were behind the times lol. They do hurt a bit at the start and after each time u go back and they get you to move the elastic bands etc. But after a few days they're ok. They give u wax stuff to put over them to stop them rubbing on ur gums. I've had them off for 7 years now I still wear the retainer at night as my dentist said I should and I got my wisdoms out last yr and the oral/maxillofacial Surgen said to wear the retainer forever as they eventually will get crooked again
