Memory....it's the diary that we all carry about with us. Every moment, every thought, every feeling. It's what shapes us into who we are today.

But what if those memories just... disappeared? Like a gleaming bubble in the sunlight? It just gets higher and higher, getting more beautiful and fragile as it roams. But then, one day, it just... pops. All of its contents are lost and...forgotten.

I've never given much thought into how precious memories were. The truth is, they're one of the most important things that you want to keep forever.

But, sadly, I'll never be able to hold onto them.

"Taylor Long, you have to go!" my mother shouted from the kitchen.

I flew down the soft, carpeted stairs, grabbed my bag and was out the door before my mom could give me a lecture about sleeping in too late.

I started walking down the foggy street to school. Oh, Rockwell High, how I love you. Waking up at 6 in the morning is just every high school student's dream!

I finally got to school and walked over to a table in the middle of the courtyard.

"Hey," said a voice from behind me.

I turned around and blushed. It was Spencer Perry. I liked him for a while, but finally got over him and his long, wavy blonde hair when he got a girlfriend named Nicole Hunter.

"H-hey," I staggered. Shoot. That was smooth.
"How's your day going?" he asked.
"Pretty good," I yawned, stretching out my arms. "Except for waking up at pretty much sunrise."
"That does put a damper on the mood, doesn't it?" he said sarcastically.

"Oh Spencerrrrrrr!" shrieked a girl from behind us. Nicole.
"Hey, Nicole," Spencer smiled and put his arm around her. "Well, I've got to get going, Taylor. See you later!"
    "Bye," I whispered softly.

"Taylor!" screamed my best friend, Rachel Porter, running towards me.
"Rachel!" I laughed, hugging her. "What is it?"
    "Guess...who...just...asked...me out..." she huffed.
    "Who?" I said.
"Michael Brown!" she shrieked, jumping up and down.

I had no choice but to jump up and down with her, even if it hurt me.

    He had moved on...

My ex boyfriend had moved on.

  4. Uh nuh she did-nt! Bump!

  5. Part 3:

Rachel finally stopped jumping around after a few minutes. She gets overly excited about a lot of things.

"You don't understand how happy I am!" she squealed with delight. "There he is!"

She ran over to Michael, wrapping her arms around his neck. Michael returned the hug, making me look all awkward while I just stand there watching them.

"Hey, Taylor," Michael flashed a smile in my direction, breaking away from Rachel's hug. She frowned.
"Hey," I said cooly. Finally. I didn't freak out at a guy today.
"Well, I've got to get to class," Michael said, turning back to Rachel. "I'll miss you, Rachel."

They hugged one last time before Michael disappeared in the sea of high schoolers trying to get to class.

"We should ditch today," Rachel smiled evily.
"I was just thinking that!" I smirked. "Coffee shop?"
"Coffee shop," she said. "Let's take my car."

We walked discreetly to her car, making sure we weren't caught by the ragged old school security guard. I doubt we would, though. She's dozing off half the time.

  6. Gahhh. Accidental post. There's more

  7. Part 4:

We got to her car and turned up the music loud. It's what we usually do.

She drove fairly fast on the way to the coffee shop. I couldn't believe we didn't get a speeding ticket.

A few minutes into the drive, it started raining. At first, it was just sprinkling. After a few moments, it started POURING. We couldn't see two inches in front of us. What scared me most was that Rachel kept speeding along the now slippery roads.

    "Rachel!!!" I screamed. "Slow down!"
"Okay, okay," she said. But it was too late.

It all went by so fast. Lights of a truck in front of us blinded me.

My head smashed through the windshield of Rachel's car.

    Then everything went black.
