Qin It felt familiar holding a gun in my hand. The moment Naomi tossed me one, instinct kicked in, and I spun it round my finger, releasing the magazine, reloading and locking. "Looks like you're still good with a gun." Naomi commented without looking up. "It's been awhile." I said. "I can imagine, going to a normal high school and having to force yourself to fit in couldn't have been easy." she said, still rummaging through the bag for equipment. "How are you with a knife?" she said, as she tossed me a clean cut, well kept jungle primitive. The moment I caught it's handle, my hand instinctively swung it out and it flew straight, cutting through the air and piercing a hole in the painting on the wall. Naomi turned around to look at the 'damage'. "You just had to throw it at the naked man." she laughed. I walked over to the painting and pulled my blade out. "At least I'm still really good with this." I tossed the blade and caught it in it's sheath. "And I can aim." I winked. Naomi zipped up the bags, "Let's go." "Where to?" "Sparrow's room." We walked out of the room. "Oh, by the way... Who's Nana?" Naomi raised an eyebrow. I replied her with a sheepish smile. "Okay, don't tell me." she laughed. "Is he cute?" "Of course!" I replied. "And he doesn't snore in bed?" "What?! Of course not!" We both started giggling. Suddenly a girl jumped out in front of us shouting "OMGosh! I knew it! I knew you were the wolf girl!" Confused, I turned to Naomi. She sighed and shook her head. "Ex, relax." "It's her isn't it? Your best friend!" the girl Naomi called Ex was jumping up and down. "Ex, meet Qin. Qin, this is Ex." I squinted. Ex looked really familiar. "Oh! I remember you now! You're the girl that threw the restaurant menu at Charlie!" "Oops." Ex whispered loudly "OOPS?!" Naomi raised her voice. "You injured the person I was supposed to protect and you go oops?" Everyone was silent. "Good Job Ex. He's a little brat anyway." Naomi laughed and broke the silence. "Hey Ex, so whats the report?" Ex turned serious. "Saw a tall bulky guy carry the target. Like a sack of potatoes." "Any idea where he went?" I asked. "Not at all." Naomi stretched out her hand toward Ex. She took the hint and passed Naomi her phone. Quickly, Naomi dialled a series of numbers, and a voice burst out via speaker. "Yo! Sup Ex! Up for another round of-" "It's me Dan." Naomi cut him short. "Oh! Naomi! I was waiting for your call! You should seriously consider a phone! I've got a good few to lend you if you want! Lemme just go che-" "Not now Dan. We need you to give us a report on C.S." "I'll go find out. Can I wear my Vans?" Naomi sighed. "Whatever you like." "Yeah!! I'm on it!" he excitedly replied. "Who was that?" I asked. "Dan. He's currently in the boiler room. Really smart guy." "Nerd?" "No. Just pure genius. He's Asian, loves his mohawk and he's the ninja of our team. Could just walk right pass you without you noticing." I raised my eye brow. "We have to move." Naomi motioned to Ex and I, and the three of us made our way on deck.
A pool of blood formed beneath a body, clothed by a Captain's uniform. Atop that body lay, her sidekick, Josh. The room was empty and the smell of rotten meat was starting to fill the air. Close by lay an open crystal box, and two plastic guns without bullets. Besides that, everything else in the room was in it's rightful place. The coffee cups were still warm with freshly brewed coffee. And the papers on the desk were still in place. The only question that was flying through the scene was "Who on earth was driving the ship?" Or would it drive itself into it's watery death? Part 1 End
Part Two: Chasing Broken Bones The waves were silently caressing the shores. All was silent except for the droplets of water dripping in the cave. The moon shone down like a full mirror, lighting up the sandy beaches. A perfect spot for a vacation, but it might just become the silent grave of many.
