  1. Mr. Hall.
    Intelligent, funny, charismatic. Not to mention handsome. His short black hair was tousled in a way that said; "I just got out of bed, but didn't bother with my hair because I know it looks good." And his eyes? So icy blue, you'd think a blizzard were forming right there.
    Every girl in school desperately wanted a spot in his Algebra class, but Administration had room for only so much.
    And every day, you'd hear girls sigh at the mention of his name in the locker room. They'd swoon over him in the halls. All the while, the male student population would scratch their heads, incredulously studying what he did. Trying to figure out what Mr. Hall had that they didn't.

    Well, besides immortality and a pair of razor-sharp fangs?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Mr Hall is a supernatural being. No, not a vampire.  Can you guess what? This is a random Valentine's Day story idea, so yeah!
  2. "Ah, Mr. Hall?"
    I paused, and decided to pack my things in my backpack a little bit slower than usual. I guessed the girl had some homework questions, but she sounded… giddy. I dropped my pencil, and bent down, just to get a view of what was happening.
    "I… I found this…" she smiled and handed him a letter.
    Mr Hall leaned against his desk, and took the letter. It looked too official for school. The paper was a light vanilla color, and it was thick. I could faintly see outlines of an elegant design at the corners. But what put me off the most: the scent of perfume wafting over the minute he opened the letter.
    He read over it quickly; Mr Hall was always a fast reader, and looked at the girl incredulously. She blushed madly.
    "What would you say if, I dunno, one of your students wrote you that?" she stuttered.
    I held back a fit of laughter. She was making it painstakingly obvious that she wrote it herself. Whatever was on it, I didn't know. If she sprayed perfume on a letter, it was obviously a love note.
    Mr. Hall paused for a moment, and straightened out, tapping the letter lightly. "Whoever wrote that, must've been pretty infatuated with me." he said thoughtfully.
    The girl parted her lips in awe, blushing the brightest red I've ever seen. "I-I-I…" she stumbled out of the room. She looked intoxicated.
    Mr. Hall smirked to himself, and put the letter in his pocket, before walking out of the classroom.
    "Aren't you leaving, Persephone? School let out already." he called.
    I gasped, and immediately stood up, hitting my head on my desk in the process. "Ouch!"
    Mr. Hall poked his head back in the classroom. Seeing I was in pain, he walked over, a worried expression on his face.
    "Are you alright?"
    "...I'm fine…" I grumbled, smoothing my dark hair back into a loose ponytail. Mr. Hall arched an eyebrow, and stepped closer. "Why do you do that to your hair?"
    "What do you mean"-
    He reached over, and gently tugged on my hair band. I felt waves of my hair return to my shoulders, and I looked down in embarrassment. His hand tapped my chin, gently lifting it up so I could face him.
    "You look beautiful with your hair down. Keep it like that." He murmured. I somehow kept a straight face, and took my hair band back. "Thanks. But I prefer ponytails." I said rather coldly. I took my messenger bag and marched out of the classroom.
    It was then when I allowed myself to blush.
  7. I blushed. So much that I thought my face would catch on fire. Mr. Hall called me beautiful… and my reaction was to leave immediately. But, that was justified. I almost had half a mind to get him fired. He was a grown man...
    I stopped mentally ranting, sighing. Mr. Hall was young, actually. Just out of college, a mathematical genius. But still… he was a teacher. Teachers weren't supposed to flirt with students.
    Leaving the school, I tugged my bag over my shoulder, and passed a tree that a group of girls were standing near. They were giggling, and I noticed the girl that was just in the room with Mr. Hall.
    "He read the letter?" a girl squealed.
    "Of course he did!" she answered.
    "And what did he say?"
    "He said it was lovely." she huffed, smugly smiling.
    I clenched my hands, and before I could stop myself, I spoke... more like growled at her.
    "Whoever wrote that must be pretty infatuated with me."
    She looked over incredulously, while her friends began to whisper.
    "Uh, what?"
    "That's what he actually said, you know, about your hypothetical letter you supposedly wrote." I arched an eyebrow, smiling when she realized I've put her on the spot. Grumbling, she turned and stomped away. The other girls whispered as they left, but one stayed behind, leaning against the tree.
    She wore the uniform, but made adjustments to it with buttons that had quirky sayings on it. Her red hair was in two pigtails, but her piercing green eyes stood out against them. And she had a light, natural tan. "Huh. Nobody's stood up to Leah like that before." she smirked.
    "Well… it had to be said, I guess..."
    Did it really need to be said? I could've gone off on my merry way, but instead, I inserted myself into Leah's conversation, and embarrassed her. What made me do that? I wasn't jealous...
    "My name's Jade." she said, offering her hand. "Yours?"
    "Persephone..." I said, shaking her hand.
    She smiled, nodding in appreciation. "Like in the Greek myth? That's cool."
    "Oh, ah, thanks." I muttered, sheepishly smiling. I was so used to people being taken aback by my name, but Jade was different. She treated me normally.
    "So, see you tomorrow?" she asked, getting out her iPod.
    I nodded, and waved. She waved back, more so a salute than a wave, before putting in her earbuds and walking down the street.
  9. Mr. Hall's POV
    ~
    …what is wrong with that girl? She barely reacted to me… she didn't even blush! That other girl almost fainted after I read her stupid letter. But Persephone… she was indifferent. Her words were cold, like she'd prefer shoving bamboo under her nails than talk to me.
    And that… hurts, in a way...
    What?! No, it doesn't matter to me. There are plenty of other women to charm. They're all eating out of the palm of my hand anyways.
    "...that letter you supposedly wrote..." I perked up, a voice snapping me out of my thoughts.
    Her voice.
    I turned from my car, and across the lot, Persephone stood, her arms crossed, while she calmly talked to... whatever her name was... Leah? Leah looked extremely embarrassed, and stormed away.
    Did Persephone mention Leah's note for a reason? What would she get from embarrassing her?
    I paused, opening the car door. Satisfaction. Maybe Persephone was jealous, and that was the only way to comfort herself-
    No, Ian, don't delude yourself. Why would she be jealous?
    I sit in my car, glancing at the mirror. My eyes were growing darker by the minute. I needed to go.
