ninja! Fox wiped her gloves on the back of her pants as she daintily stepped over the twitching man on the ground. Her eyes were dark. Although her outward appearance remained that of the psychotic murderer, her mind was ticking at an outrageous speed. The facility was in chaos, the exits were being overwhelmed, and Antoine had not been spotted since her escape from the laboratory. At least no one who had remained alive had seen her. Fox twirled the knife in her hands, hypnotized by the glinting metal. Col. Drakonis would no longer be able to watch her movements, as she had bigger priorities to attend to. Sending a known death-row murderer after an infected woman? Ludicrous, yet the situation remained thus. Fox moved down the hallway and out into the front track which was littered with the dead and dying. Her eyes glittered at the macabre scene, and she felt her mind racing again. It always seemed to work better when she was excited, and death got her blood pumping like no other. A young man was lying face down on the ground before her, yet Fox could see the white of his eyes flickering. She made her way to him, ignoring the gunfire that surrounded her. She enjoyed the terrified look that crossed his face, mixed with hatred as she approached. “You...” he gurgled, blood spilling out of his lips. From this distance, Fox could see his hands were tucked under his body, undoubtedly holding a mortal wound. “Yes, me!” Fox gaily replied, crouching down so she could stare into his face. “What have you seen lately, mister?” His incoherent response didn't deter Fox. She reached down and tugged his head so he was forced to flip onto his back. Her eyes quickly scanned his body and saw that he indeed had a wound, a spurting open gash upon his belly. It was deep, and it was fatal. Fox brought her eyes back up to the man, noting that he was young, in his twenties. Not half bad looking either. “Answer me,” Fox said, gripping his head again, and sliding her gloved fingers into his mouth. She began applying pressure to his cheeks, pulling his lips back until he groaned in discomfort. “What did you see?” The man gurgled again, blood spewing from his lips as he choked out an answer. “Robed... woman, with a... weapon... weird eyes...” Fox released the man's head so suddenly it ricocheted off the ground. She grinned, and stood from her crouched position, eyes quickly darting about as if the woman was still here. Lost in thought, she jumped as a hand grabbed her leg. The man on the ground had managed to grip onto her shoe and was looking up at her with glazed over brown eyes. “You... what are you going to do...?” Fox glared down at him and shook her leg violently. He fell off without much of a fight. He was barely conscious now. She squatted quickly next to him and tilted her head to the side. Reaching over, she turned his head back to face her, and smiled warmly. Then she reached forward and dug her fingers into the man's eye sockets. The man shrieked in surprise, blood running from his mouth. His hands flew up to try and grab hers, and his stomach wound squirted at the sudden release of pressure. He gasped out as the blood poured from his body, his arms weakly falling away as Fox continued to apply pressure to the soft jelly-like corners of his eyeballs. Her fingers easily dug past the bones of the nose and curled about the backside of the eyes. His mouth was open in a scream, yet no sound came forth, just a small trickle of blood. As she pulled gently at his eyeballs, she felt his body twitch violently against her. With a soft pop, the eyeballs exited the sockets, and she stood, wiping her gloved hands upon her pants, which were quickly becoming stained with blood. Seeing her handiwork, Fox knew that he was already dead, the blood loss fatal. But she smiled as she knew she had made an impact on this life of his before he departed to the next. Her face turned grim as she stared in the direction of the front gate. With this man freshly dead, Antoine could not have gone far. But Fox knew her thought would be on escape. “Hmm,” Fox grunted. “Something we have in common.” She began stalking towards the hedges that lined the track, ever pursuing the direction of the front gate. “It would be suicide to storm the front gate, where firepower is the heaviest. But she is a simple woman. She wouldn't think of that. But then again, neither will any of guards...” Fox's eyes widened and she began running. “And that's why it worked... Those incompetent fools at the front gate would never have seen her coming in this chaos!” Fox felt her grin widen impossibly, her teeth grinding together painfully. “That little bugger has already escaped.”
:| Well it's only been 5.5 weeks or so since I've updated and I love all of you who bumped this while I was deciding what to do with HSotD. Anyway I don't know when I'll update again, I just felt like writing a piece on what Fox and Antoine are up to back at the military base. I've been working on upgrading and obviously the farm war took a lot of my time and energy. I'll be on vacation from the 7th-14th so I'll guarantee no updates then Much love ~Jihi
