I know this but I understand other App Store apps but a gamertag? It's a little harsh in my opinion, I don't really understand why it's against theToU
It's marketing... If you talk about other games people might leave the ata games to play the other games... Makes sense in a way...
Right, so it's corporate censorship to increase profits, same thing nearly happened internationally, it was called SOPA, big companies wanted to censor small YouTube channels and such to stop distribution of the gameplay of their games and media, which is stupid because it's free marketing
Fletch I get what you're saying, but in this case is the small (ata) censoring the big (the games where they were giving name tags)
yes. because it is information that only you know. unless you give it to someone do they can add you etc.
Yes but it's for the same reason, I don't think it's fair, I play Xbox and PIMD, seeing people post their gamertags does not push me to play Xbox more, and the people who spend money on PIMD will keep playing, so I think that that's their whole 'Oh no, profits are decreasing' thing out the window. And gamertags are hardly personal info, a gamertag is already publicised therefore there are no risks of sharing this info
I don't really find it personal info when it's nothing about you it's just a name on a game plus none of my actual info is linked to any account
Agree or not it's against the Tou... I actually don't think it's too much of a big deal... But the reasoning behind it makes sense...
