    Enjoy! 
    Btw, I © EVERYTHING. I own all the characters and the storyline is all original. So ©! 

    Immortal Angel Series

    Book one: Amongst the Wolves
    ______________________________

    _Prologue_

    The boy was dressed in blue slim straight Guess jeans, dress shoes and a light silver formal shirt with the sleeves rolled up, revealing his wiry forearm muscles. He wasn't exactly buff like some guys, but, he had definition, and being just under 6 ft gave him that slightly casual yet badass look. His short to medium length dark brown hair was styled in his favourite way. Gelled in a rough manner, spiked at the back and sides, and fixed into a front hawk. His sea green eyes looked more blue under the light emitted from the club. He had been waiting patiently in line for a few minutes, and now it was his turn to enter the club. He stepped forward so the bouncer could eye him up and see if he would cause any trouble. "I.D. Please." He said sternly. He handed over his I.D. and waited for the bouncer to make up his mind. "Alright go on in." Taking his I.D. back, Nathan sauntered into the 40/40 club without giving the bouncer a second glance. Once inside, he was immediately hit by the blaring music and the sickly sweet smell of all the humans. The 40/40 club was one of the only clubs that had more humans than any other species. And it's not that the humans knew anyway, no, they had no idea that Vampires, Werewolves and all the other... races existed. It was just that many of the Vampires and Werewolves, preferred other clubs, thus, more human blood bags for Nathan. He smirked as he made his way over to the bar. He knew all eyes were on him, it felt natural to unintentionally be the center of attention. Being a Vampire gave him made advantages over humans. Super strength and speed, extremely acute senses and the most pleasing: good looks. He was the perfect predator and his kind had been created for one reason, and one reason only. To kill. When he reached the bar he sat on one of the high stools and scanned the club, looking, searching for anything that could give him a clue. A clue as to why he'd been summoned here, he reached into his back jean pocket and pulled out a small note. No bigger than a calling card. On it was scrawled "40/40". He found it on his bedside desk when he got home yesterday. Normally he wouldn't follow one of these things up, after all, who summons one of the first Vampires ever created? No one. No one but their creators. This particular note had the same elegant handwriting he'd last seen nearly 200 years ago. It was the writing of an Angel. he dreaded to think of why he'd been summoned.
    "Can I get you a drink Sir?" The Mixologist asked, breaking his train of thought. Just before he was about to answer, a girl walked up to the bar. She was dressed in a short skirt dress that clung to her legs, it was black and had straps across her back. She had a good build, fantastic really. Slim yet slightly curvy, she fitted her dress well. She had long black hair that was completely straight. But, what caught Nathan the most was her eyes. They were a turquoise colour, and was heavily contrasted against her blonde hair. Her thick eyelashes fluttered as she approached the bar and sat right next to Nathan, a strong smell filled his lungs. Her scent was like a slap to the face. He shifted in his seat slightly, out of irritation more than anything else.
    "I'll have a French 75 thanks." Said the girl, she didn't even look at Nathan. The Mixologist turned to Nathan, awaiting his reply.
    "Mix something up, make it strong."
    "Sure thing." The Mixologist turned and walked further down the bar to prepare the drinks. Nathan turned back around to face the club before speaking to the girl, without even baring her a glance.
    "75 huh? Hell of a week?"
    "No, why?" She replied, her voice tainted with a sense of curiosity as she spoke.
    "Potent drink, that's all." He said half-heartedly
    "I like them potent." She said with a smirk.
    He turned towards her to find that she was looking at him. He scanned her eyes, searching for something. another clue perhaps.
    "Tell me, why are you here?" He asked politely.
    "Thats a pretty poor pick up line." She retorted before breaking out into laughter.
    "You're the only Hybrid in the club. Likewise, I'm the only Vampire. You've been following me since I left my Apartment and, now that I'm here, I suspect you're either going to kill me or deliver a message. But, my second guess is the right one, since your manner is extremely relaxed and plus, you can't kill me. Well you can, but, you wouldn't dare." He explained, his voice and eyes taunting her as he spoke.
    "You're good, I'll give you that." She said, her eyes running up and down his body. "In fact, you're better than I thought."
    "How so?" He asked.
    "I expected Nathaniel Martin to be less.... Captivating." She explained, her eyes twinkled as she spoke, teasing him.
    He grimaced at the sound of his real name. "Sorry to disappoint you." He replied. Suddenly the girl did something he didn't expect. She leaned in close, so her lips were at his ear.
    "You never know who could be listening, so, its best I tell you quietly." Her voice was soft and her lips tickled his ear. She was teasing him again. "The more exclusive of the two VIP rooms, take a seat in the only empty booth. Oh, and don't worry, you'll definitely get in." She leaned away, a vivid smirk on her lips. "And by the way, you've still got your snack all over you, smells delicious." Nathan regarded the girl swiftly.
    "Whats your name?" He asked, out of curiosity more than anything else.
    "Only the good boys get to know it sweetie." she said with a wink as she slid off her seat and began to walk off. "And don't worry pretty boy, we'll be seeing plenty of each other soon." He watched her walk out of the club, her hips swaying slightly as she moved.
    "Hybrids." He muttered to himself before turning back to the bar. The drinks hadn't arrived yet, but, it didn't bother him. Nathan noticed a small card next to him, it was the same size as his and smelt of expensive perfume. Elegant handwriting covered on side of the card.
    ______________________________

    Veronica Richfield.
    See you around pretty boy. ;)

    He smiled slightly as he read the note before sliding off his seat and heading towards the VIP sections. He walked up the stairs and headed to the more exclusive room. He expected the bouncer to stop him, but, Nathan went into the room completely un-noticed. The music here was softer and more... relaxing, than downstairs. It soothed his mind as he scanned the room looking for the only empty booth seat. Once he found it, he sauntered over to the booth and sat down. He examined the whole room. The booths were covered in plush leather, the bar it self was an impressive mix of glass and wood. The whole room oozed perfection and style.
    "Admiring the view are we?" Said a vaguely familiar voice.
    Nathan's head snapped towards the direction of the voice, he was completely unaware that someone had sat down, or more or less, just appeared out of thin air. Nathan found himself looking at a boy, most likely 6ft 2". The boy was wearing the same jeans as Nathan. But, his shirt was white with a few faint stripes and his sleeves where rolled up. The shirt was buttoned up to his sternum and a plain black skinny tie hung loosely off the collar. His clothes clung to him showing off the muscle that weaved around his body. The boy had chestnut brown skin and slightly regal features. he had the air of recklessness about him, some kind of appertaining energy. His eyes where a dark brown almost black. His hair was fashioned into a front hawk like Nathan's, although the boy looked more manicured in general. Everything about him was neat in a rough and kind of badass manner.
    "What? Didn't expect the mystery man to be me?" The boy said, his voice sooth and somewhat teasing.
    Nathan was lost for words, but, somehow managed to find the ability to speak again. He ran his eyes up and down the boy one more time, just to see if he was real.After all it was the first time it nearly 200 years since he'd seen an Angel.
    "Emmanuel?" He asked.
    The boy smiled at this. The gesture was friendly enough, but, Nathan could see the hidden meaning behind it. Finally the boy spoke, his voice slightly smooth and theatrical.
    "The one and only."

    _Chapter One_

    The sunlight filtered through the gaps of her curtains in her bedroom window, casting a warm and cozy look around the room. She was wearing hipster briefs and a singlet, both were white and had back trims. She felt the rays of sunlight kiss her neck and face. She smiled slightly as it tickled her lips and nose, causing her to stir from her peaceful slumber. Elizabeth Rosewater stretched her whole body, the way a cat might after a long nap. She felt warm, and slightly lethargic as her arms and legs slid around under the covers. She sat up in her bed and yawned, covering her mouth with her right hand. She looked around, taking in all the contents of her room. It was a big room. Everything was neat and tidy, except for her bed. It was as if Elizabeth had decided to wrestle on top of her bed. Her duvet and blankets were tangled and hung off one side of her bed, her sheets were twisted into knots and sprawled unevenly across the bed. No matter how little sleep Elizabeth had at night, she always felt recharged for the day and ready for anything it threw at her. She let out a small giggle a she observed the carnage before her, before, she kicked the remainders of the sheets off her bed and walked over to her full length mirror by her closet. She examined herself, somewhat, awed by the un exhausted face that smirked back at her in the reflection. She took a minute to scan herself, realising that she took after her mother in so many ways. Elizabeth was tall, bordering between 5 11" and 6 ft, which, made her 181 cm. She had a slim body but was slightly curvy nonetheless. She had straight black hair that came down to her chest. Her facials features were elegant, full lips that complimented the perfect smile, which, in fact exhibited a set of straight ultra white teeth. As well as a straight nose and high cheekbones. Her eyes were just a shade darker than light green, thus, giving her a warm, yet, mysterious look. She was always admired by boys, but, they never made a move or approached her. Mainly because of her older brother threatening to break every bone in their bodies if they ever hurt his baby sister, however, the gesture was nice nonetheless.
    Christopher had become a lot more protective of Elizabeth over the last couple of years, especially after their Dad past away in a car crash. It was hard for the first couple of months, it was a shock to them all, yet, Elizabeth had thrown herself into her studies and into various amounts of exercise. She often went running or did sit ups somedays, others, she'd go boxing or simply get lost in her music. Her physical exertion was a form of releasing anger and sadness over her Dads death. The music, well, that was just something she'd always loved. She played instruments such as the piano, violin and harp. By the age of seven she had fully mastered those three instruments. Now, at the age of 17 she more or less just played for fun, or when she needed to clear her mind.
    "Hello, Earth to Elizabeth. Anyone home?" Said a familiar voice. Startled, Elizabeth snapped out of her train of thought and turned to face her brother.
    "What?" She snapped, surprised by the raspy tone in her voice. Elizabeth hated it when Christopher spoke to her like that, and especially when he snuck up on her. He was only wearing blue boxer shorts, Elizabeth didn't really care if he walked around topless in the mornings. It was his house too.
    "Ah, she wakes from her slumber." He teased. "In all seriousness though, we are running slightly late, so, pick up the pace sis." He walked out of her room, his footsteps making soft thuds against the wooden floor as he walked. Christopher took after their father, 6 ft 2", and had a muscular build, as if Michelangelo had carved him out of stone. He had rough medium-length black hair, that was gelled slightly. Angular facial features, white teeth and a lovable smile. His grey eyes always held a steady and protective gaze, just like their father. Sometimes, it hurt just to even look at Christopher because he reminded Elizabeth so much of him. She sighed, taking one last look at the mirror before she walked off towards her bathroom.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Christopher made his way out of his sisters room and headed back towards his own bedroom. He felt slightly stiff as he found some clothes and pried his body into them. He normally slept well, but last night entailed small naps and vivid dreams of violence and sorrow.e He sighed silently to himself as he checked to make sure he had everything, and that he was ready for the day. He was meant to be 18 years old, but, truth be told he was as old as the universe itself. He was an Angel, one of the first actually. Angels reach their best fitted age in heaven and stay at that age forever. There are others like himself on Earth. In fact they are the Seven Angels, a sort of super group of Angels. Marked with special abilities. There were so many questions racing through his head as he walked out of his room and into the kitchen to fix a quick breakfast. Were was the Immortal Angel now? When will Elizabeth remember everything? Was the prophecy true? He shut those thoughts out of his head, and instead, focused on the mundane task of eating a muesli bar and downing the reminants with milk. He cast a gaze out the window, only to find Elizabeth already waiting patiently in the white Z4 for him. She reminded Christopher so much of their Mother, sadly, she died while giving birth to Elizabeth. Thankfully they had received the mansion through her will. It was grand and very beautiful, in fact, it was a true work of art. Mansions belonged in a quite suburb outside of cities, or in the countryside. This one was situated in a suburban area, although, it was surrounded by tall trees. The exterior and the interior was an Intricate French design. Everything was beautiful, it was all so elegantly set out. From the trims on the windows, to the exquisite tiles on the floors. It was absolute perfection and made him marvel at the creativity of the human mind. He tore himself out of his revine before he scrunched the wrapper up in the bin and headed out the door and towards the car. When he got into the car, it was silent. As usual. They rarely spoke in the car. It was more or less their time of solitude. A time to get lost in their own world. Unfortunately for Christopher, this meant that those questions could barge into his head at any moment. As usual, they did. Cursing silently, he started the engine and felt the car purr to life. He revved the engine gently allowing the sound to pulsate through his body. He took a deep breath before he accelerated, driving the car in the direction of the Hell hole that is more commonly known as school.
    _Chapter Two_
    "Okay, thank you ma'am. We'll be in later today." Emmanuel said politely, before, hanging up the phone.
    "What was that about?" Asked Nathan.
    "Inquirees about our new school." He replied absentmindedly. It had been three days since Emmanuel met Nathan at the 40/40 NightClub. Since then, they'd left America and had travelled to England. It had been nearly 200 years since Emmanuel had been there, and he felt nostalgia seeping through his veins. He sighed, trying to clear his mind, he forced himself to look at the view and take in the scenery. They were surrounded by the mountainous regions of England. This was a disclosed area England, and hardly anyone knew it existed. Well, hardly anyone knew that one of the finest Academies in the World was situated in the thick of England terrain. the academy was in a huge horseshoe valley, it was nestled in the middle of it. Surrounded by trees and a man made lake. The Academy was called LynnBrookes Academy of Fine Arts. It was created by some of the richest people in the world. The children that attended the Academy, where the children of richest business men, lawyers, parliamentarians, etc etc. The academy was huge itself, it was long and rectangular. It stretched 2km wide and was four stories. Three being classrooms and what not and the fourth being the boarding house. It was also a day school, for those that lived in the expensive mansion estate nearby. The Academy was the perfect mix of old and new. In essence it was the perfect Academy in the World. It was equipped with golf courses and pools and half of the woods was sectioned off for Game and the preservation of some rare breeds of deer and mountain lion. It was more of a luxury boarding school more than anything else. Emmanuel was standing at the top of the valley, a few meters away from the edge, looking down at everything. He could see the redbrick and silver metal very clearly. He knew this is where they needed to. An old friend would be here, and, hopefully He'd be willing to help Emmanuel on his little.... Journey.
    Being an Angel gave him many traits, all far more advanced than certain creations like the Vampire or Werewolf, so, he saw the white BMW Z4 pull up at the school reception block before Nathan and Veronica did, but, he thought nothing of it. Turning to Nathan and Veronica, he saw that they were focused on a section of the valley, The woods, and he realised that they must've been hungry.
    "Go hunt. Build up your strength, we might be up against something unexpected" He said.
    Nathan regarded him for a moment. An unspoken understanding seemed to pass between them, Before, Nathan turned to Veronica and waited for her reply.
    "Race ya there pretty boy." Veronica said with a wink.
    "Sure thing." Nathan smirked.
    In the blink of an eye, Nathan gracefully leapt off the edge of the valley and sprinted down its steep banks towards the woods, Veronica in hot pursuit. Although she was in her wolf form.
    When he was certain they were out of ear shot, Emmanuel picked up his Xperia Play and dialed a number. He waited patiently for the phone to ring, finally, someone answered.
    "Hey, Dylan? Yeah, its me. Emmanuel. We need to talk."
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    They had reached the woods in less than a second. The dirt was softer here, and her paws tore through it as she raced into the forrest. Veronica could see Nathan just up ahead, he was faster than she'd expected, but, that didn't stop her. She dug in harder, she could feel her muscles and tendons working. The pure power that propelled her forward was amazing, soon she was right next to Nathan. She thought about staying at this pace, but, instead gained even more speed, she'd always been a showoff. Veronica realised that she was going to need a new set of clothes now that she'd just ripped out of her old ones a few seconds ago. She pushed that trivial thought out of her head and focused on letting her instincts take over. Suddenly, she saw Nathan pounce at a helpless deer. Poor thing didn't even know what hit it. Veronica saw another and leapt towards it. trapping its jugular in between her teeth. She tore at the flesh and started drinking the blood. Normally she would've eaten the soft meat, but, the it hit her. She'd transformed back into her human-like state, and was no longer a werewolf. She suddenly realised that she was naked and looked up at Nathan to see if he had noticed. Thankfully, he hadn't. Veronica dragged her kill behind some thick bushes and proceeded to drink its blood, letting the warm flow of ecstasy fill her mouth. She started taking in deeper gulps. This was nowhere near as good as human blood, but, blood was blood. She didn't mind. Before she knew it, the deer was completely dry of blood. She tossed it aside and wiped her mouth clean of the blood. licking her fingers as she did so. It dawned on her again that she needed new clothes, so, she snuck a peek as saw that Nathan was leaning against a tree, looking away from her.
    "Nathan?" She said meekly. Almost immediately she cursed herself. She'd been trying so hard to play this so-hard-to-get act in front of Nathan for so long, and now all of a sudden she'd reverted back to her normal self.
    "Yeah?" He still wasn't looking at her.
    "I, ah, need some clothes." She said. Trying to sound cool about it, but, probably having the opposite effect. She heard him let out a low chuckle, but, she suppressed it with a low growl.
    "Okay, I'll see what i can do." A smirk evident in his voice.
    "Just hurry." She said quickly. She heard him chuckle again, and then he disappeared. She waited for a few minutes, hoping that Nathan would comeback with some decent clothes. Suddenly, she felt something fall near her. Looking at ground he noticed that it wasn't a single "thing" but, a selection of clothing items. On the ground next to her was some undergarments, a dark grey knotted career styled cardigan, a delicate white short sleeved shirt, blue straight slim jeans and a pair of dark grey converse. She glanced up to see Nathan sitting on a broken log, looking preoccupied on his phone.
    "You're welcome by the way." He said, again a smirk was evident in his voice.
    "Thanks." She blurted out. In a flurry she got dressed and came out of her little hiding spot. She gave her new outfit a quick once over before looking at Nathan. "Thanks again." She said politely.
    "No worries." His voice was gentle this time.
    "Where did y-"
    "Had to steal it from some girls drawers." He cut in.
    "Oh." That was her only reply.
    Nathan regarded her with an amused expression on his face. "Come on, lets go back. Emmanuel's probably wondering why we're taking so long.
    They ran back up to the top of the valley, this time, they didn't take so long. The blood in their systems made them stronger. When they got to the top, they found that Emmanuel was sitting on the hood of his Audi R8, looking up at the sky.
    "Take the scenic route?" He teased.
    "Not exactly." Veronica replied. At this Emmanuel looked at her before letting out a chuckle.
    "Shopping? Really?"
    "A little bit more complicated than that." Nathan chimed in.
    Veronica fixed the both of them daggers before hopping into the car, taking extra care to slam the door as hard as she could. The two boys got into the car after her. Emmanuel in the drivers seat and Nathan next to him.
    "What now?" Nathan asked.
    "Now, we pay a visit to an old friend." Emmanuel said, as he tossed the car into gear as sped off along the dirt road.
